Ellen usually has guests she likes play two songs. One during their main slot then a partial song during the credits. Maybe they'll use the latter to promote Forever.

The voice of reason in a world of madness.

Is everyone now a fan of the band again since they are playing their latest single along with their biggest hit? You can't argue that logic...

So now I understand that only LC was or will be broadcasted, and Forever was only put online as an extra? Or I am wrong.

So LC, the song everyone knows was shown to the world, while their new single was played, but will not be shown on tv?.... tongue2.gif weird.

I bet both songs will be broadcast.

I found the URL to the .flv in the page source:

http://pdl.warnerbros.com/ellen/us/video/2...mance_video.flv

I don't have time to pull it down and transcode it to avi, so if someone else could do it and put it on mediafire, I'd appreciate it. smile.gif

After watching the "Forever" video linked above, I noticed that the band used the studio's acoustic guitar track and filtered it in over the band's performance. It's not only the parts were the notes are individually picked out, but the strumming as the song builds is on there as well. All of this while I couldn't hear anything that Adam was playing seems kinda crappy. Ed's gotta polish the vocals on this song, which I'm sure he will. It's not an easy song to sing.

Thanks for the video.

I thought once Ed warmed up, he did a great job with the song. I can't wait to hear it in concert this March!

What's new? Don't you think everything Ed does is a great job?

thumbsup.gif Nice video I was a bit disapointed by Ed's vocals in the first part of the song, but the second half was decent. It's also nice to hear a more guitar drived version of this song. Taylor should really have contributed to the studio version, cuz this video is the proof that it makes the song sounds better. Ohw and I liked when Chad G. (his good old cap is back!) was singing along with the end "oehoehoe" 's

I think it will be a nice addition to the future setlist!

btw, when can we see LC?

I really didn't like the oooo's, but the rest wasn't too bad. Makes me yearn for the older, darker, mystical Ed though. I mean, he did well there, the bridge was pretty cool, but I miss like... just, the old Ed. sad.gif

Ellen was preempted in NYC right before Live was set to perform due to a plane crash. Therefore I missed the show. I really hope it gets replayed. Losing promotion in a huge market right before tour dates go on sale is a bad break.

I just got home and my HTPC recorded LC perfectly. I'm encoding it right now and when it's done, I'll post it to Mediafire and post the URL if any of you are interested.

I still can't believe it's not on YouTube yet.

Let me know.
