Sax - if you pick up Call of Duty: World At War (which comes out next week) or Mario Kart let me know and we can play online together.

...

I haven't bought any of the classic titles through Wii Ware. I actually still have the original Nintendo with about 60 games.

Forgot all about this thread...been pretty busy lately.

I'm not big on shooters, but I've had Mario Kart since the day it came out. I'll get my friend code later if you want to play. My buddy and I play online quite a bit.

And I think you're getting the Virtual Console and WiiWare confused. The VC includes all the old games, which I have bought quite a few of. WiiWare is the equivalent of the Xbox LIVE Arcade with new games. I finally downloaded Bomberman Blast yesterday. I played online a little bit and can't win, haha. There was one instance where either the game glitched or people cheated. It was weird. People were standing off the map and after the clock ran out, they hadn't been killed by the raining blocks, so the game just hung for a couple minutes until I was disconnected. So online isn't that great, but my friends and I love Bomberman, so we'll have fun offline, anyway.

I also downloaded Mega Man 9 yesterday. Now that's hard. I think I'm gonna go try that out again right now. I beat one stage, but I'm getting my ass kicked on every other one I try.

Call of Duty: World At War rocks on the Wii. Of course it's not as good as the XBox or PS3 versions, but it is the Wii at it's best! Online is pretty damn tough too!

PM it to me and let me know when you'd usually be on. I don't get to play very often but I can try to find you some day!

I'll take you out in Kart! lol.gif Race or Battle Mode!

I'm currently playing Tales of Symphonia: Dawn Of The New World (Wii) with my three sons.

I'm not a yuge game freak, but we have also played:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
Crystal Chronicles: Ring Of Fate (DS)
Tales Of Symphonia (Gamecube)
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (Gamecube & DS)
Pokemon Snap (Nintendo - 64)

Haha, sorry, Hoodie. I've been busy with school winding down and the busy season at work. I'll get you my Mario Kart friend code tomorrow. I made a mental note!

I'm looking to pick this up, but I do also want to play the first Symphonia game. It's something I had wanted to buy years ago when it came out, but I just never had the chance. What do you think of the new one? Some people love it, some people hate it.

I've been checking out stuff coming up for the Wii. The next game I'm planning on getting is The Conduit. This is a sci-fi first person shooter with online multi-player being created specifically for the Wii. Check out the link. If you'd plan on getting it let me know and we can start a small clan when this thing comes out this year.

2nd- offer still stands if anyone has Call of Duty: World at War for the Wii. PM me and we can trade friend codes and play online.

Finally, I also wanted to ask Wii people about World of Goo on Wii Ware. I'm not much of a puzzle game player but everything I've heard about it seems cool. Anyone have any feedback on this game?

My brother is playing that Left 4 Dead atm as well, did you think the enemies were too random???

You know like theres 3 or 4 and all of a sudden theres a million! with no foreseeable way of killing them all in a certain level... shrug.gif

thats what a zombie apocolypse should be like ... as far as I know ... it throws random waves at you so its never the same .. certain things you do attract hordes, if you make too much noise or something you can stir up a bunch of them ... i love it, wave after wave of mutilation

Finally gonna race Hoodie in Mario Kart soon. w00t!

There are a few games for Wii that I'm looking forward to in 2009 (and 2010).

The Conduit (not a fan of shooters, but I'll check it out because of its hype)
MadWorld
Monster Hunter 3
No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle
Dragon Quest X
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers

My friend's girlfriend got me Final Fantasy IV for the DS for Christmas. (I just bought her a sweater at Ruehl for equal price. Girls like clothes, right?) I'd beaten it on the SNES, PSX and GBA already...but come on, it's 3D with a ton of new stuff! I beat one playthrough and I'm halfway through the second (of three to get everything), but it's currently on hold because of real life.

And my hype for Final Fantasy XIII has skyrocket since we've finally seen some gameplay! It's out this year in Japan. I'd be in Heaven if they could pull off a 2009 release for the US. Final Fantasy Versus XIII interested me more for a while, but that's still a while off and it's on the hype-backburner since we still haven't seen gameplay.
