QUOTE(Live inside @ Nov 27 2008, 7:55 am) *

i do think its a good thing . Some things happen in your life and when you have a song in mind of that occasion whether its good of bad it can makes you cry or smile.

And that lady has a certain memory of that song and i can imagine it moved her.

But perhaps we Dutchies are a bit sentimental....and showing our emotions easy

yeah, I guess it's not bad that the dvd shows the emotion of the fans. I mean, if the dvd would shows us crying women during The River, okee... I would feel kind of embarrassed.
But LC is a deep, moving song! I have seen Live three times, and each time I saw at least omeone behind me crying during the song.

crying during The River

Well... when something gets truly terrible it can bring tears to our eyes. I would forgive someone for crying during this song.

Damn, Dan, could not have expected it from you really.

I am not entitled to spread any info, but let me tell you that very lady had her reasons. I know that.

Cum on.

Well, somebody earlier reported that their version was in 4:3. User error? Maybe there are multiple versions circulating? I don't know.

I have 2 versions of the DVD: US NTSC version and a Dutch PAL version and they are both 16:9

Anyone else having trouble getting their hands on the DVD in Canada? I've been to 3 HMVs and had to "place an order" for it. I could have just ordered it from Amazon by now.

To both of you Canadians. I had the same issue. On November 11th, my ass walked into HMV expecting the new Live record, as I'd done since 1997, but I was greeted with a delayed date. I was told that the DVD would be in on November 25th, and the CD was not even scheduled for the shelf. I nonetheless ordered in a copy of the CD version and asked them to put both it and the DVD (only 1 of each was to come to Thunder Bay) on hold for me. I got a call on the morning of November 25th stating that both were in. I went to the store and bought them. They were American copies. This is the first time in the history of the band that I've known, where I can say that the album has not been in stores on its release date, and furthermore it was not pressed in Canada. From Four Songs onward, there has been a Canadian release. LATPA is the exception.

Not to mention, places such as Zellers, Wal-Mart, and Future Shop not only did not have the release, but were unaware of it entirely.

Hrm, I suppose, what with all this talk of poor-ish sales, and not being able to find it in stores, we should keep in mind that they released it on their own label, and there wasn't much of a marketing push behind it.

That makes me feel better anyhow.

It was also a concert album which is generally a low selling entity.
