Now that NOTP's is finished and Live is heading home after a month in Europe, what do you think is next for the band? After a much needed rest, do you think Live will be hitting some TV/Radio outlets to support their new single? Also, will the US/Australia/South Africa be getting a tour behind "Live at the Paradiso" or will Live focus all their energy on producing a new studio album?

I'm guessing we won't hear much from the band until after the New Year, but what do I know? smile.gif

They're supposed to head to the studio in spring, right? If so, then I bet they're resting until then.... maybe some radio spots like you mentioned.

Maybe they'll listen to the fans' feedback and release the rest of Paradiso!

Hey, I can dream, right?

It would be weird if the Paradiso DVD wouldn't be promoted more. NotP, but that's only Belgium and Holland and were sill the same 4 songs. Then again, Awake was also only promoted by touring in Belgium and Holland (+a few shows in Australia).

But actually I don't see them touring before they gonna record the new album. They've been touring so much since the recording of SFBM and the pauze they had back than, so I think it's time for some another decent rest now (that will hopefully result in a great album eyebrow.gif ).

I hope they don't tour here until they bring out a new album ... if they tour before then I really doubt I'll see them because I'm not really interested in seeing the exact same setlist as the DVD itself ... im sure they'll add Purifier and Forever but that's still not worth $80 or so .... so hopefully they're take the next few months to regroup maybe do some promos in the US and spend it writing new material *together*, record that and then head back on the road with some decent new material behind them.

Well, they will probably take some time off then hopefully work on the new album. A couple of US dates during that time would be nice!! smile.gif

Well, if they really want a new album out in 2009, they're gonna need to start recording it by summer, which means they should probably start writing no later than this spring. I'd like to see a few tour dates here and there, but I sincerely hope they don't tour that much and instead focus on living in the studio and banging out a baller album.

I agree with Ex, they need to focus on the studio and stay off the road for a bit(save for few spot shows if they desire). They really toured the US a bit much the last couple years, and I think a break will make the band a hotter ticket once the new album drops and they tour behind it. I'm also wondering if most of the band's songs are already written.

If I was Live this would be the plan:

1. Record a new album this spring, with hopes for a late August release in the US(slower time for albums with less competition).

2. Tour as a support act for a more popular band this summer behind their new single. If they can't find a suitable band, co-headline another three band tour.

3. Tour Holland and select cities in Europe late September/early October.

4. Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa in December.

5. Do a headlining tour of the US Spring 2010

I agree that they should focus on a new album but my selfish side wants a couple US dates!!!!

The other option:

1. Break through the holidays

2. Tour Australia/South Africa/US/Canada behind the DVD the first half of 2009.

3. Begin recording new album this fall for release sometime in 2010.

I actually like this plan better because we'd not only be assured of hearing Forever and Purifier in concert, but the band could also take their time working on a new studio album.

I think the general consensus is that we will take a break with no or very little Dates if we get more of this stuff like Purifier or Forever. I know that's how I feel. I could see an album November 2009 if forever is indeed a single. I could even push that range back to 2010 Feb but that seems a bit far. The reason for this is because it is easier to tour in the spring b/c they probably want to be with their families and stuff for the holidays.

It'd be nice if their album was road-tested, though...

well I think 2010 is a bit extreme. It was early 2005 when they started recording their last album. It's really time for a new full album....
By that, we will maybe hear Purifier and Forever in concert after recording the album, if they put both songs on it thumbsup.gif who knows.

I'm guessing that will be the fanclub holiday gift! They made a big deal about signing up for it on their website.
