I gotta say, listening to the snippit samples from itunes, Pat's bass in Operation Spirit is fucking incredible, thats old school Pat right there!

grr ok so the more I think about it the more it's just fucking ridiculous that Iris, White Discussion, Shit Towne, Sofia, Mirror song (and to a lesser extent Wings and TSUFL) have been cut from the DVD ... unless the recordings got fucked up in some way I just dont see the logic. I under stand the CD has limited space but not the DVD .... if you gave me the whole set list and asked me to pick the top two songs I was looking forward to seeing the most on the DVD it would be WD and Iris ... do you think its possible Live will release these at a later date? part of a pack with a new album or christmas gift cos the fact that they're out there and recorded but not released totally sucks I gotta say.

In other news, according to FOL, they're "temporarily sold out" of the DVD, but not the CD.

But yeah, thats kinda what I was going to say ... but really, it was more about the choices of songs to omit if they HAD to do it (which they dont), its like they castrated the DVD of its rock balls.

I completely agree with you... they castrated the DVD release and there is NO reason they had to do that. Maybe for the CD, but not for the DVD release. That's why I changed your statement. I meant no offense... I'm just as upset as you are - I wanted the full concert.

...just picked up the CD version as the DVD version isn't out here yet. Seems to be a distrubution issue. Trying to get the DVD+CD combo from Europe, but that won't be easy. Anyone know where the DVD+CD Special Edition is available?

I just bought the dvd at Best Buy. Neither the dvd or cd were in the new release section. You had to go look for the L's.

I'm shocked this dvd is not in widescreen. I have a widescreen flat panel HD tv, and when I watch this in full screen, it's all stretched, like I'm watching A&E.. it's horrible. Why didn't they make this available in widescreen?

Just bought the DVD + CD yesterday. Listened to the CD yesterday and now I'm checking out 'our movie with the great cast'. Looks and sounds really great. And I must say, I also just love the menu on the DVD.

I just went by Best Buy and they didn't even have Live there. Nothing by them. Usually Best Buys I go to have at least one of each of their albums in stock but not this one. Shame

huh how do you mean. Ofcourse I agree it sucks they didn't include Sofia, WD, Shit Towne and Iris.
But Mirror Song, TSUFL and Wings are all on the DVD! (not on the CD)

I have to say it's too bad they didn't include The Dam to Otter Creek they did after Dance with You, but having Mirror Song and Operation Spirit kinda makes up for that.

I just bought the CD at a Border's. It was the new release section, prominently displayed. They didn't have the DVD in stock and only two cd's left after I purchased. I'm going to check Target and Best Buy later.

From what I heard so far,it perfectly captures the experience of being in a Live concert. The new studio songs are pretty rockin too.

Seeing the 4 songs they put up on youtube, I'm gonna pass on the DVD... not a fan of the editing at all, wish there were more long takes of Ed..

on another note, downloading from Itunes right now. Included in the bonus track TSUFL. Look for it sometime today in the multimedia section! hopefully, someone else can rip the audio off of the DVD for Mirror Song and Wings. Mirror Song has recently become one of my favorite track, and I don't have many quality live copies!
