The DVD/CD pack displays the Action Front Records and Vanguard icons side by side. Along these it carries a SonyBMG Music Entertainment icon. Not sure what to make of this exactly.

The dvd can be played in two modes; performance only or with b-roll which is the "bonus" material. With b-roll the gig is embedded between "behind the scenes" footage which totals to about 15 minutes.I won't spoil it all for you but I think it pretty cool

You don't have to spoil it for us just tell us what special features there are if any others and the credits for purifier please

I mean us Aussies don't even have a release date yet..........................................

Cool! Will Ed be in the studio? Has anybody been able to get the webcam link to work on the site?

Yes he is in the studio and the webcam use to work but he doesn`t work here either i will "investigate" this

Interesting interview. Ed says they're going back into the studio in the Spring. Purifier and Forever is the direction they're going.

I tried to record the webcam streaming and was partially successful. The software I was using annoyingly stopped recording every 2 minutes which was very frustrating. I needed to restart it manually which caused 10 - 20 seconds of footage to be cut each time (often at the most interesting part of the interview) :/

I had a look on the Coen en Sander website and they seem to have podcasts of their old shows, so maybe an mp3 of Ed's interview will appear at some stage.

Yeah, what I found interesting is that Ed called "Purifier" his singer/songwriter style of songs and "Forever" the more blues-y type; both of which should go side by side on the new album.

Speaking of albums, in another recent interview in a magazine, Ed mentions he is attracted to the idea of releasing EP's with a hand full of songs instead of complete albums or separate songs. I think he said that before. It can be an indication of the way they're heading.

There are not special features on the dvd other than the backstage b-roll footage.

As for the Purifier, the booklet says: "Music by Edward Kowalczyk, Chad Taylor. Lyrics by Edward Kowalczyk."

I dunno if 'livetheband' is Live's official youtube channel. If not, someone else already leaked 4 of the DVD videos...

OK, here's the webcam audio/video I was able to capture during the Ed interview on 3FM.

The video is split up into 10 parts and each is an .ASF file. You can use VLC ( www.videolan.org/vlc ) to watch the video. The videos don't seem to be seekable which is a bit of a pain. As I said previously, there a numerous cuts in the footage and some of it is missing. Hopefully a podcast will be made available soon but until that happens you're stuck with this.

nice find, but these guys should have done the dvd thing long ago, because their shows are not as good as they used to be. check out this I Alone from the V era and see which performance you prefer

by the way, what a joke it is that I can't even find Live playing I Alone on youtube at shows between 94-98

I agree with that, I am glad that I have videos of them from their prime. I am actually less excited about the DVD now than I was before.
