It is kind of like spending an hour listening to Run Away or Home then you put on Like I Do or The Dolphin's Cry. A big change.

I really like the track. It has a great intro and the energy that Live has been lacking for awhile.

I love the fact that they used Popper for his instrument rather than his voice because it adds a unique sound. I like this way better than Forever. Is better than almost anything on BOP, V, and SFBM.

My only criticism - it needs more cowbell!

I don't Purifier nearly as much as I like Forever. The only part of Purifier I like is Ed's vocal part where it's just Ed. Matter of fact, hearing Purifier makes me like Forever a LOT more.

I'll still be buying the CD/DVD set, but I'm a bit let down with Purifier and now I like Forever a lot more than I did before.

I am too busy tonight to say more than a few things about the song, but the bottom line is that it's awesome. Not only is it awesome, but it's the first time in a decade I've heard a new Live song and can say without hesitation that it's better than absolutely everything I hear on radio now. It's only one song and so it's hard to get overly excited I guess, but damn, what a song! Congrats to Live for showing their true talents once more.

Man I sure do hope some of the boys in Live see this thread (site, if they read them at all) and realize what they should be writing and how we like this sound.
If they go in this direction there might be hope for me and Live again. It's been 3 strikes for me with albums (minus a few songs) so I hope this is a sign of better things to come.

Wow, this is really exciting. I really like the energy coming from this. Forever sounded like an adult contemporary song, however this, this sounds funky. I like funky Live.

yes, yes I have, and I am excited, haven't felt this excited about a Live song since I heard a 30sec clip of Where Fishes Go (probably my favourite Live song) from the Tibetan freedom concert before The distance to here release.

Well that was a damn good song, full of energy and I agree its one of the best things they've done in close to a decade. And may a say a big fuck you to people who always harp on about the "negative" fans on the board who don't like anything Live do etc ... if Live puts out good shit like this only then is there no need to be negative.
I agree that it's awesome they used John Popper simply for his harmonica and no vocals (not a big fan of his voice anyways) as it just gave it a bit of a different edge .. I dunno this song just had something different thats been lacking lately, blazing guitar, funky bass ... its far from my favorite Live song but god it's a step, nay leap, in the right direction.

This board hasn't seen a positive comment from a real fan in years. This song is good enough that there are pages and pages of praise for it, and it's well deserved. There should be a fucking section of the board devoted to it in my opinion. This is a monumental, gargantuan move by the band. Nothing else to say.
