So, I just bought Chad Taylors old car in Toronto, Ontario which is pretty cool. It's a 1998 Audi A8. Tomorrow I'm going to visit the music store to buy some of lives CD's because I'm sure he'd love to know his music is still playing on in his old beast. Hope to get to know everyone, it's pretty cool to have a car that's linked to a rock star smile.gif.

Agreed, feel free to post your thoughts on the albums too. When I started out I hadn't heard all the albums and everyone helped me decide which ones to get. I got them all in the end tongue.gif

Nice buy. That generation A8 is particularly well built and is always a nice ride. Glad to see CT respects the euro cars!

Hey it almost worked for George Costanza with Jon Voight's LeBaron. Of course Voight did end up biting Kramer's arm, I'd hope CT would never go to those extremes. lol.gif lol.gif

The car has only had 2 owners since I received it, the first being Chad D Taylor of Lancaster PA, and the second being the gentleman that I bought it off of, who actually met him in the states to purchase it. I bought Throwing Copper today, as well as a greatest hits album and they're fantastic. I know a lot of the songs from the radio it turns out anyways haha, which was an interesting surprise. I'll have to pick a favourite off the greatest hits and get back to you guys, and no its not Lightning Crashes tongue.gif.

Thank god.

Would you mind me asking how much you paid for it?

Haha I don't mind you asking, but I'd prefer not to say as the seller is a Live fan and I'm not sure he'd like me talking about it. I got a very nice deal though. I can tell you that when the car was imported into Canada, there are documents stating it was in and around 25K USD + import fees, and that was around 2005 I think I read.

Well, I like the car, but it isn't worth anything near 25K nor was it in 2005. The MSRP that year was in the high 50s and low 60s depending on the engine, so 25K would be about a 45% residual value after 7 years of ownership. That's really unlikely. There's no way you should have paid more than 12K for it?

But you're forgetting that Jon Voight owned it.
