Yay!

Just ended up on the radio...right after Ed!! This all started coz I emailed him that fans of live letter on the 13th of October. You know....push LIVE etc!!!

Then I entered the competition and hubby backed me up and wah-lah!!!!

I have just won the ENTIRE Live works!!!!!! EVERY SINGLE THING THEY HAVE EVER DONE!!!! And that includes the Paradiso stuff!

And I won because I called my daughter Laikin. After Lakini's Juice!! He says you can't get a bigger live fan than that!

According to Mark, the DJ, the interview has been shortened, but will be available on podcast from tomorrow morning. I will post the link when it comes up.

I'll upload the file shortly. It's huge!!!

Just for reference, at the end of the interview, my name is Janice Barnard!

Live have had a lot of air play in SA lately. This is Mark Pilgrim interviewing Ed. Then Mark promptly made my whole year by giving me all of Live's stuff! Yay! I don't know whether to laugh or cry! I love Mark Pilgrim. I love Ed.....dear God, I feel like I've had three bottles of wine!!!

Part One Ed SA Interview 26 October 2008

That's part one of the interview.

Part two of the interview, Ed says that his favorite Live song has to be Forever. They didn't play purifier (bugger!)

At the end of this segment, the DJ contacts me by phone and you can hear my interview. I sound awful, but then again, I do have the flu and a horrible ear infection!

The Chantelle Klassen he talks about who has the tattoo on her foot, is my best friend. We've had some really good luck today. We got those tattoos together!!!

I don't get it ... they run a competition where the biggest Live fan gets all back catalog of their work, but surely all the biggest fans have this already, it's what makes them a big fan right?

Who cares about the CD's???? Put them in a showcase, untouched, wrapping still on.

It's about the IDEA. the principle that I beat thousands of other listeners. It's about the story behind the THINGS. My story rocked!

Who cares what the prize is??? I won!!

Do hope I get Death of a Dictionary though, coz I can't get that one here in SA. I only have that digitital version from J Sax.

I listened to the (selection) of the interview with Ed.
Quite interesting!
And he considers 'Forever' as the most Live-ish song, haha, I wouldn't expect him to say that. I thought he would answer Lightning Crashes. But I agree with him that the song is a tipcal Live song (with the intensity, hope-theme etc), although I think it's not typical Live when you look at the music.
He also called 'Purifier' a real rock song thumbsup.gif

Oh its not that im grumpy or not happy for you, I just never quite understood this prize, this goes for anyone who is a "super fan" of any band and wins wins this kind of prize .. I don't understand the logic behind the people who run the competition choosing this as a prize. Being picked ahead of x number of others is awesome.
