There's a huge difference between being liberal and voting for a Democrat. I think anyone who considers themselves liberal and votes for a Democrat needs to think about what liberal means. Does being "liberal" mean higher taxes and bigger government? I think 200 hundred years ago, our founding fathers would have thrown a god damn tea party over that shit. I'm more liberal than all you pussy fucks, and I'm voting for McCain because he has better economic policies, not because I'm a sheep following the rest of the supposed "liberals."

This paragraph is dripping with Libertarian ideals. McCain disgusts most Libertarians because he is too interventionalist in economics... just like Bush. The only thing keeping you from voting Barr is that you have a sense of efficiency and want your vote to actually count.

I hate Barr. You have a bad habit of generalizing based on little information.

You have a bad habit of claiming that you believe in things and then saying you will go the other way. Basically, you are trying to shoot down anyone who would refute you by claiming both sides.

You would be a good politician.

I won't vote for McCain because:

I staunchly support a woman's right to choose.

I don't want health insurance benefits taxed. Nor do I believe a $5000 family credit is enough for complete and comprehensive insurance coverage, especially for individuals with pre-existing conditions.

I don't believe off-shore drilling and nuclear power plants are the only alternate energies we should employ/research.

I also want an end to the war in Iraq. I think the issue of terrorists based in Afganhistan is more crucial to homeland security.

I'm appalled that his main solution to the deficits in our educational system is to use vouchers.

Just to name a few...

I can't watch that right now because I am at work, but I'm going to assume it's a guy still in school who owes a whole lot of money.

Well, I come from a long line of them. But, I don't flip flop quite as much as Kerry. I believe in insanely low taxes, tiny government, and a very liberal social agenda. If you all consider being pro-choice a liberal social agenda, you'd lose your granny panties if you heard mine. Neither candidate will satisfy my liberal side, so I better support the one who supports my economically responsible side.

Good enough points and finally an argument that is actually thought out and based on policy more than on two party political bullshit! I disagree with all of them but thank god we got some real thought in here.

Nah, it's House MD! I have two and a half more years of school and will never owe any money.

House, like most other medical shows, is generally full of shit. None of the cases is true to real life and it's bogus. His bedside manner is horrible, too!

Doctors stay in school until they finish medical school. There are some people in my class who will be over age 35 when they graduate. Fortunately, I will turn 26 two days before I graduate.

It starts with pretty much abolishing most federal programs except for those related to national defense. The rest can and should be handled by the states. Our income tax should be abolished and replaced with a heavy consumption tax. All drugs should be legalized, the war on drugs ended, and all that money plus tax on legalized drug sales dumped into rehab programs. Just for starters.

Very interesting. Could work, too, but it's a big radical change - unlikely to be made by anyone, purely because they wouldn't get voted in if they were rooting to do that stuff. And although I don't jump to agree with the legalization of all drugs, I certainly don't curl my toes at the thought, it's an intruiging proposition, especially with the notion of taxing legalized drug sales.
