Several extra concerts have been announced in the last weeks. This years Night of the Proms now has 19 public shows and two closed shows. I don't know how many ppl can go to a single show but I guess at least 100.000 tickets will be sold. That's pretty big, right smile.gif

yeah that's indeed pretty big, wow!

Btw, The Night of the Proms website reports about Live releasing DVD/CD + New single ! Nice promotion. It also says 'Forever' will be a radio single. Does that mean that there won't be a single in the cd shops?

A little preview of the NOTP setup of the stage can be seen here: http://notpblog.wordpress.com/

IPB Image

It also has a quote of Ed:
"These arrangements are awesome! On the I alone arrangement, I think the following edit will be good to do;At the downbeat of approx. 3:44-break down to just drums for 4 bars then into “oh now we took it back too far….” Same to end. Please tell franck I love these! And that he should call if this edit isn’t clear. Otherwise we are golden.Ek"

Probably not. Live haven't released singles is ages and basically they release this song to promote the new DVD and CD which will be in the shops.

Do we know for sure who is going to record this thing? We NEED this and it will probably be more interesting than the DVD.

Last few editions of the Night of the Proms, there was released a DVD with the recording of the show. I don't know how many songs of each artist were included, but as they only play 3/4 songs, there's a good song we'll get all of them in dvd quality.
Btw, how much I'm looking forward to see how Live + classic orchestra will turn out, but for me it's no way more inyteresting than a dvd 15 years in the making eyebrow.gif

according to this morning's interview, Ed's really pumped for this event. He says there's a 70 piece orchestra backing them.

LIVE's already in Europe at the moment!!

Chad Taylor:

QUOTE
I hung at the bar last night after a long flight from Philadelphia to Antwerp. Night of the Proms is going to be fun, no doubt. Simple Minds guitarist Charlie Burchill bought a few rounds and told me stories about hearing Live for the first time at KROQ’s acoustic Christmas in the early 90’s. I brought along a gift for him and the band, it’s the earliest recorded footage of us playing the Temple dance in York, PA. Of course, we cover “Don’t You Forget About Me”! Talk about a hairspray fest. The footage is priceless although my cousin, who was filming, stopped recording every time we played an original song, too bad. Was I really that skinny or was it the big hair? Who thought a swear dress was worth putting on?

I heard The Dolphins Cry on the phone last night (it was very crappy sound, so I still don't know how Live+orchestra sounded lol.gif ). Chad Taylor already revealed that they would play I Alone.
So I'm wondering what the other 2 of the 4 songs that they played with the orchestra were... Guess we'll hear some reviews soon enough!

EDIT!
I've found a video. If you check the end of the video on this page, you get a few seconds of Live with the orchestra. It's the song I heard by phone smile.gif The Dolphins Cry.
