Radiant Sea was released on a Friday. Indie. I have a feeling were looking at a similar situation here. You'll be able to buy the DVD at shows and off the website, but I doubt we're looking at a National release on this one.

Biggest hit of the year in their own discography? they have only 1 release this year.

By that, Sony talked about this release. Why would they, if Live goes for an indie release?

Totally agree. I just meant if they were able to score a deal with a major or mid-sized distributor to release it in stores and such.

That would be nice from an exposure point of view. Especially if this new song is as rockin as we all hope it will be.

once again, Sony talked about the DVD, a while ago. So it will be released by (at least in some countries) by Sony I guess.

Yes, Sony will do Benelux, which is The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

I talked to Ed and he said that they're aiming at releasing the CD/DVD combo on October 31st. He also said they're trying to work some new songs into the CD. I asked about New City and all he would say is that it was a TDTH outtake.

Your guess of what it sounds like is probably as good as ours... it's the most sought after Live track.

A few people have at least a concert recording of it, although they seem completely unwilling to give it up. I am fairly certain the quality of the recording is good. Gertjan has definitely heard the song, and played the video for an entire gathering of fans, but has yet to even describe the song for anyone. Get on his nuts.

As for being the most sought after song, it's really not for me. I haven't even the slightest clue what the song sounds like, so why should I care? There are probably 30 other songs like New City that just weren't played in concert. I'd love to have all those too. My two most-wanteds are studio Mallrat and Change.
