I recently came across this song that is supposedly by Ed. It's called "Through The Trees" and it was reportedly performed on 2/18/08. I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this?

I'm not really sure how to navigate this site so I haven't been able to get it to play. If you can, and it is by Ed, please post it as an MP3.

Here's the link:

There also seems to be acoustic versions of Love Shines, Get Ready, and The River that I would be interested in if you could also convert them.

Here's that link:

These are the tracks listed under Live:

Very interesting. Where was Ed on Feb 18? Could this be a new Ed song, or is it just a farce? Cool name regardless.

This is really getting to me as I love Last.fm so I set to trying to solve this mystery. It very well could just be a bad labeling by someone and probably is but I found some another site with a similar result.

http://www.ilike.com/artist/Ed+Kowalczyk

I looked up that song name and I found someone named Edith Frost... that's not likely a cover choice from Ed. We need to figure out who listened to this song and how they got it!

EDIT:

I looked up what Live was doing at that time. That was the time just after they set up all those tour dates for march . They were not on tour during that time. About that time is when he came out to support Obama and did the William thing... early Feb. This was the time when we would have expected them to take time off to write new stuff. I doubt this is anything legit.

That's why I posted it. I found it referenced on multiple sites but I can't find the track. When you look at the stats on some of the sites it seems that people have also been able to listen to it.

I'm hoping we can find an answer to this. I have a feeling that last.fm and the ilike sites use the same database for their tracks, though. Just a suspicion. It could be one mislabeled track on multiple sites because of a common database the sites pull info from.
