As a flipside to the '12 best tracks' idea, what would be your idea of a truly awful 12 track compilation. Again just from official album releases. Here's mine:

1 OK?
2 The Ride
3 Call Me A Fool
4 Sofia
5 Sun
6 Get Ready
7 All I Need
8 The River
9 Nobody Knows
10 Mystery
11 Home
12 Where Do We Go From Here

It's not that easy are there are a few songs on that list that I actually don't mind at all. Live don't seem to do truly dreadful, thankfully. Thank god for V and the last one!

Awful releases?

I can't honestly name any. uhoh.gif And no ways could I create a compilation of awful tracks.

My worst ever song by Live is on their Four Songs release called "Heaven wore a shirt"

That would have to be a single I'm afraid.

Hate HATE Hate that song.

And that's really, honestly the only one!

1. Ball And Chain
2. Ok?
3. Love Shines
4. All I Need
5. Home
6. Show
7. You Are Not Alone
8. Call Me A Fool
9. Nobody Knows
10. Sun
11. Life Marches On
12. Beautiful Invisible

I was struggling to find a twelfth one without resorting to opening my SFBM folder to remember what crap is on there when I remembered beautiful Invisible. I like all these songs privately I guess... Wouldn't let my friends hear them. Ball and Chain is a disaster.

2 The Ride

Lol, that is one of my recent favourites! "You don't need nobody to truly ride" indeed! All we need is ourselves smile.gif

If this is a "worst of" album then the track listing isnt even important, other than track one for me has to be the worst track.

1. Love Shines
2. Home
3. You Are Not Alone (does anyone even remember this track??)
4. Run to the water
5. Radiant Sea
6. OK?
7. Transmit Your Love
8. Sweet Release
9. Call me a fool
10. The River
12. Show

Then you haven't listened to V:

There are a few Live songs that I really dislike and simply do not listen to but there are six in particular that I simply feel should never have been released because they simply suck so bad it is embarrasing that they are even on a professionally recorded record. Here they are (in no particular order):

1. People Like You
2. Forever May Not Be Long Enough
3. OK?
4. Flow (should not be on this list but the "Floooow" refrain is unlistenable.)
5. Sun
6. What Are We Fighting For?

I can't really name any Live song that I think is truly a terrible-can't-be-listened-to-would-rather-pull-out-own-eyes track. However, there are some forgettable songs, for sure. but even those, I can't really name. I don't know...

I actually forgot about Beautiful Invisible, a certainty for inclusion on my list. Run To The Water is one of my favourite Live tracks. I would like to nominate 'OK?' as the most insipid piece of garbage ever recorded by the band. Truly unlistenable tuneless crap.

I'll come from another angle, and hit the songs I've seen on this thread so far that I LIKE and think y'all are insane for including:

Sophia - Really has evolved into a great live Live tune in my opinion. Love hearing it at shows.

Sun - Unique sound / solid song. Not exactly a classic, but doesn't belong on this list.

Nobody Knows - Not a great tune either, but again solid. And I liked the concert version too.

Where Do We Go From Here - One of my favorites on SFBM (for whatever that's worth), and glad they snuck it into their live set recently.

Run To The Water - Simply ridiculous putting this stellar tune on this list.

Sweet Release - Bordering on simply ridiculous...

Show - Again, one of the better songs on SFBM. Haven't heard them play it since 2006 I think- wish they would've kept it in their live set.

As for songs that blow, The River tops the list (and this was the lead-off track on an album for christ sakes!?). I'm still amazed that they play constantly live. And, the last 3 tracks on SFBM are simply garbage. Pure garbage. All I Need, You Are Not Alone, and Night of Nights.

Nice Idea. Here's mine (and could give a shit if you disagree):

Love Shines - Second best song of SFBM (and one of the best in the past 3 albums).

The River - Best song on the album (and see above).

Mystery - Third solid song on this album.

Run To The Water - Not may favorite but a good song. It is really good live.

Sweet Release - Best track on BOP. The version of Radiant Sea is even better!

Radiant Sea - Good, solid song! I enjoy it tons.

Beautiful Invisible - Great track. Awesome song!

SPOT ON! thumbsup.gif

I did not get how Sweet Release could end up in the bottom 12?!

I dont know if I would have said BEST, but certainly both of these are easily either 1st or 2nd for me on these albums... depends on the day

This is the only fanboard I regularly subscribe to that actually talks down about the band...

Can't really make a top 10 or anything, but I don't really care much about People Like You, Nobody Knows and Flow. A while ago I would have added Unsheathed, but I'm actually starting to like the song now.
