Notes:

-Ed was very sick and his voice was struggling, but he gamely carried on. He also was disoriented by the spinning stage which is one of Westbury's weirder features.

-After I Alone was completed, a member of the audience shouted "FreeBird" which set Ed off to confront the guy. He pretty much said that it showed a lack of respect, and that he could have easily canceled this show because of his condition, but unlike you, I'm not an a-hole. At this point Ed's voice sounded good as new, and the crowd was totally behind the band. It was actually amazing how it rallied the audience. I'm sure Ed will be hurting tomorrow.

-The venue was packed and the crowd was into the band.

- No railo or keyboards

-Show ended with White Discussion

Setlist as best as I can remember it:

All Over You
Waittress
Mirror Song
The Dolphin's Cry
I Walk the Line
They Stood Up for Love
Turn My Head
Wings
I Alone
Heaven (Best version I've heard of the song)
Sofia
Lakini's Juice
Lightning Crashes

Encore
White Discussion

No Selling the Drama, The River, The Distance, Shittown or Simple Creed

Despite Ed's problems and the overall weirdness of the venue, I thought it was a great show. I really enjoyed this tour and I hope the band gets the rest it needs before they head to Europe.

no keyboards = no The Distance = that sucks!!!

Spinning stage? Poor Ed, that would have made me sick!!!

Ed, just hang in there a couple more shows and then you have some time off!!!!

Ed messed up one of the opening verses for I Alone, then unable to fix it, just decided to start the song over. Chad T. rubbed Ed's back telling him it was okay. Just one of those nights. He missed the cue for Sofia too.

I don't know why, but everyone's saying in the reviews of this year that The Distance is only possible with keyboards. Well I'm pretty sure I heard The Distance in 2004, and I'm also pretty sure Railo wasn't touring with them at that time. nod.gif Only difference was Chad G. left his drums and sat down next to Ed to play his 'ferry drums' or whatever they were.

wtf? what an asshole way to treat a member of the audience for yelling out a request, sure it's not one of their songs, but still.. not like they don't play covers.

Free Bird is something that a-hole fans yell to bands when they are not enjoying the show. Ed was feeling under the weather and he let it get to him. On the flip side, Ed got the whole crowd behind him after the incident and it worked out for the best.

Two songs later the same dude yelled out Free Bird again, but this time Ed just shook his finger and smiled. Pretty much telling the guy you're not going to get me again.

"Free Bird" is referenced in the music video game Guitar Hero, where an in-game loading screen at some occasions will display the text message "They don't really want you to play 'Freebird'.[sic] They're just heckling you.".

Usually, people yell out "Freebird" as a joke.
