Any chance him being back has something to do with Night at the Proms?

Haha, you might be onto something. Maybe Ed asked Railo to help arrange some of their tracks for an orchestra and Railo said "only if you take me on tour!" tongue.gif

For real you might be onto something here... when you're performing alongside such 80s synth legends as Simple Minds, with an orchestra that needs arranging as well, maybe Live's trying to fit in?

That all being said...I am vehemently opposed to this, unless it is a whole new vibe from the TDTH/V era tours. The first time I saw Live was in 2001 at the Trump Taj Mahal, and it was just such a strange sound with the unbelievably out of place synth lines that popped up in songs. The subsequent 13 shows have some of the best concerts I've ever seen mixed in, so I'm really hesitant to see what this brings.

He was at the Columbus show tonight, as well. But like PurdueSteve said, you can't even hear him most of the time. The Dolphin's Cry intro was alright, too.

I was at the KC show and you really didn't notice him. He was tucked away in the back behind Taylor and Adam. I did notice he had a mic and was doing some back up singing, but I really did not hear too much keyboard, at least I didn't notice it in a bad way (no funky solo during The Distance).

I was in line during the sound check and Ed was joking about turning something up cause they have harpsacord and people should hear it.

Well at least the setlist has barely changed since Railo was last in the band so he wont have to learn many new songs smile.gif

The band does soundchecks? I thought they didn't do that anymore.

It doesn't suprise me one bit. They are always having sound issues. They did one last October when I saw them in Council Bluffs as well.

I just read over at SOY that LIVE were looking for a new keyboard person and that a SOY member contacted Chad T on myspace with a reply saying they were not using keys for the next run of shows.
So I guess he out again????

This is a tweed from ChadT at August 9th:

"Had to relieve our friend of his keyboard duties. Addiction is an absolutely terrible weight. Don't do drugs."

A day later he posted:

"just got in my bunk. Sent files to new keyboard player. Rehearsals tomorrow."

So my guess is Railo was a bit out of it and is sent back home. And now Live is looking for a new guy,
