I met Ed & Taylor last year but was so stoked at the opportunity I didn't get any scoop lol

I've got a lot of pix and some video of Live from last night - but I dunno to post them, y'all please help me out. I'm not subscribed to any photo sharing site and would rather not so if there's just a direct way to put em up here for y'all to check out, that'd be great. Keep it simple.

Goin to the Kid Rock show tonite at DTE and I've got a lot goin on so just bear with.

I talked to Ed and he said that they're aiming at releasing the CD/DVD combo on October 31st. He also said they're trying to work some new songs into the CD.

Halloween's on a Friday this year, so it probably won't work since these things are usually released on Monday(international) or Tuesday (US). I guess he meant it would be released by that date, or he's just a huge Halloween fan?

I drink Labatt's in Michigan all the time. It's been around here as long as I can remember. I think they actually have to import it north to get here! For those that don't have it in there area it is my favorite beer! If you see it try it.

Gracey had a shiny new bass drum front skin that has the +Live+ cross slightly off-centre to accommodate the sound hole in the head... very nice!

I noticed that too. I think they might have done it for the DVD.

The opening chords of Simple Creed were amazing, seeing as I’ve never heard this tune done electrically before. It was very cool to have this addition to the set, and although it clearly wasn’t the most ‘popular’ of +Live+’s hits, the crowd was still on its feet clapping and singing along right away, which told me this show was going to be good on both sides of the stage.

I saw them open the same way back in '04. I haven't understood since why that's not THE opener every show.

I'm just a messanger. I'm not sure if he was suprised about me asking about it but I can tell you that when I did bring up the CD/DVD his face lit up and he was all into talking about it. He's really into this project.

I talked with my wife (who's not such a huge fan and was right next to me) and she swears he said October 6th. She might be right. I probably misheard him in the excitement of unexpectedly having a conversation with the lead singer of my favorite band.

Well done on the New City question, Hoodie. Top thinking! Also, I think maybe they don't keep Simple Creed as the opener everytime because then instead of being THE opener it might become, THAT OPENER? AGAIN? You know, gotta keep it fresh. Also, sounds like a good show all around.

Heh, good job man. Glad to hear all you guys had a blast.

Told you guys Collective Soul wasn't so bad. Just have to give em a chance objectively. The last 2 times I saw em, Shine fucking rocked straight out. Their guitarist is really talented and can play some bad ass solos when they have a good time slot.

Always wanted to see Blues Traveler, hopefully someday.
