QUOTE(mattbo @ Jun 29 2008, 2:18 am) *

this thread, similar to most discussions on this site, is hillarious. for the most part all you people do is bitch, whine and complain about everything. sure, there is probably some good folks on here, but one can't really tell because of all the immature shit that goes on. the greatest thing is that somehow you people seem as if you are ultimate judge of everything, whether that be music quality or whatever Ed chooses to do with his life/career. it saddens me to think that in the future I may be in the same venue as some of you during a live concert. reading these threads becomes a complete turn-off. now, please commence your verbal computer attacks against myself and of course one another. thtat's what you all do best. good riddance.

Stop bitching.

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jun 28 2008, 5:52 pm) *

Just because you don't like something does not make the quality shit. The song was written to succeed on a chart, and Ed had a part in it.

True, but there are plenty of things I don't like yet admire or will just say that it's not my thing, but this is shit. I mean rap might not be my thing, but you can still tell when things are shit .. you even got a rap fan like Ex who thinks it's trash. You brought up my point again, why the hell do you seem to care more about songs written to succeed on the chart and appeal to the lowest common denominator over the quality of the material itself.

lol.gif The cameo was pretty random and awkward which kind of made it funny.

But I think it's fine. It's always looks good when an artist branches out into other genres of music.

The time to worry would be Lightning Crashes being re-recorded using basic electronic beats with computer generated hand clapping sequences.

Easily:

Some polish hip-hop band stole the samples from Overcome several years ago, inserted them into their song which immediately became a hit in Poland and were fucking enjoying their growing audience when suddenly someone who knew the music moticed that there was no © on the CD sleeve of the single and not a single word on who the composer was.

Suing.

Money-paying.

Poor polish hip-hop band as a result.

I really dunno whether LIVE are aware of that. I do not think so. But I used to have this hip-hop song somewhere at home.

This all due to Ed's appearance in the video!

David Banner: This is going to be a strange album. I honestly put my nuts on the line with this album. Imagine Outkast's beats and production now with the way they were rapping on their first albums. It's going to be the same David Banner content, but the beats are elevated. Me and Ed Kowalczyk, the lead singer from the rock group Live, are doing a lot of shit together on this record. My career is either going to be done or I'm going to win a Grammy off of 13. They're not gonna know what to do with that shit up here [at Universal].

Ed appears at 1:27

I'm gonna TOFTT and listen to this album, assuming no one else has. I'm also looking for the liner notes online to see if its clear what songs Ed collaborated on. it would be sweet if he sang the chorus of one sorta like Evolution Revolution

any rap fans out there with more info, post it!

Ed worked creatively on the song/album. That is why he appeared in video. The song is up to #14 with a bullet and the album drops today.

Then they got what they deserved. Would love to hear the song if you still have it.

You know what's fucked up? The fact Nick thinks this is somehow good news for Ed or Live and bumps the topic up.
