I have a couple of unreleased songs like the rest of you, but according to the list i don't have any recording of these songs:

- Heard a Lot of Talk
- Throwing Copper
- Change
- New City
- Proverbs of the Company
- All is Crazy on the Action Front
- St. Peace is Now
- Keenan Says Yes
- Playing by Heart
- Fly
- Intro

Forgive me if you're 100% serious, but some of this list is just wrong. I've been out of the loop of the goings-on of Live for about a year and a half now, but prior to that I was an information centre. Let me clear up a few of these. If this post IS a joke, then I guess I'm the sucker that spent time replying to it wink.gif

Heard a Lot of Talk is not a song. It's a line from Live's first single Operation Spirit (The Tyanny of Tradition).

Throwing Copper is the name of Live's second (and most successful) album. The name was chosen quite sporadically, and it is highly unlikely that they later made a song with that title.

Change is a song dating back to the tours for Secret Samadhi. It contains the line "it's almost 1999" and both studio and live recordings of it have been circulated.

New City was seen on a setlist during the Secret Samadhi days, but so far (that I'm aware of), nobody has come forward with a bootleg recording of it. When it comes to this song, you had to be fucking lucky to hear it. They only played it a handful of times (possibly only once or twice) and then it disappeared. Numerous claims have been made that this person or that person has a recording of it, but to my knowledge, none of these have made it past the claim stage.

Proverbs of the Company. I have no clue. Personally, I've never heard of it, and I fancy myself somewhat of a Live encyclopedia. Still, I don't claim to know everything. This might be a song, but it's got to be VERY new if it is.

All is Crazy on the Action Front dates back to the pre-Live days. Their debut cassette as Public Affection was titled The Death of a Dictionary and was released on their own Action Front label. Though I've never come across a recording of this song, it was been on the unreleased song lists ever since I can remember. I don't doubt this song actually exists.

St. Peace is Now is probably a miscommunication of the title 10,000 Years (Peace is Now), which is the closing track on Mental Jewelry.

Keenen Says Yes is unknown to me. Copy my comments about Proverbs of the Company and paste them here.

Playing by Heart is a movie, not a song. The movie features the song Walk Into This Room which is a duet with Ed Kowalczyk (read: K-Wal) and Neneh Cherry.

Fly is unknown to me. Copy my comments about Proverbs of the Company and paste them here.

Intro is Live's best song. It starts the album V. It is both their lengthiest and most culturally influential track to date.

Guest vocals are also provided by the rapper "Jokey" on this track which rocks.

Well, let me reply on this.
First of all, personnaly i think you're right on your comments of the songs.
However, my post was not a joke. I just wrote down the songs i don't have a recording off, from the list J Sax made. His theory was also good according to the numbers from the catalogue.

Swami -

Regarding the title 'Throwing Copper', I read somewhere several years ago that Ed said in an interview or somesuch that the title came from when they were kids and used to shoot BB guns, they called it 'Throwing Copper', because of the little copper BBs.

Does that sound likely to you?

Just wondering.

One of them said something about throwing copper up another one's ass, in reference to the BBs.

It had nothing to do with being kids, two of them were shooting BB's and said they were "throwing copper" gangsta style and another one said "that's it".

It's on an MTV interview if you want to actually look for it.

I always thought it was in reference to someone like a busker, when you throw money into his hat/guitar case it was throwing copper..

Swami,

Hillarious stuff about Intro. Did you look at the BMI link I placed a few links back. I understand that some of the names aren't familiar but I agree that some of them may not exist. The thing that intrigues me is that the band/artist controls what appears on the list. It's just funny to me that all these extras are there. They could be taken of..

I wonder if Chad Taylor would be willing to set the records straight here?
