I don't really give a damn what ends up on the DVD, but if "I Walk the Line" isn't on there, I'm not buying it.

Can Live include I Walk the Line without paying royalties out of their pocket?

it would be great if some of their more obscure material has a chance to be heard on the radio as potential singles, which wont happen if they stick to the same old. Why make another greatest hits?

I know they won't, I can't ever really see Live moving from this stale setlist format. I agree it'll contain pretty much every song you mentioned, the sad part is that we can actually predict that. Problem is, a definitive collection of the band's best songs is not just their singles and big hits, you seem to act like every song that wasn't released as a single is somehow filler material.

Just imagine them starting the show with Vine street... Mmmm thumbsup.gif

Shit, that would be awesome. The Dam at Otter Creek is a must, also.

I really just see it: the band enters the stage, takes their instruments, when suddenly a siren starts and Ed rushes to the mike from the back. Brain damage.

Vine Street should have been the lead single off of V. They never should have wasted it on that b-side disc.

Completely does not suit the tracklist of V in my opinion.

well that doesn't really matter I guess
all the unused TDTH stuff that děd made V, was changed or re recorded, so they could've done that to make it fit (if it wasn't used as b-side on the TDC single)

What else from the the TDTH era surfaced on V besides Overcome? Hero of Live, I'd guess. Actually, I should just go on the BMI site again and make those guesses with the numbers...

I don't know actually, but I heard many times there were songs on V that were made originally in the TDTH-era. Ed also always talked about V as: 'songs recorded on tour + songs that were left over'.
I'm quite sure about Overcome and Hero Of Love indeed. Nobody Knows is also possible, as it was the first song that was played in concert off V (in 2000).
I'm quite sure SC, Like a Soldier, OK? and DeepE aren't, they really feel like influeced by the whole rap/Limp Bizkit thing.

About the rest I'm not so sure. Maybe Flow was also TDTH-ish. Ohw and if I remember correctly FMNBLE was also a very very early V-song (as it had to do with that the Mummy Returns movie), but I don't think it's anything TDTH.

That was it...
so for more... well I guess you should go back comparing the numbers smile.gif

No, it should have been on TDTH. It doesn't fit on V because it doesn't suck.

At the very least, it should have been on Awake in place of Nobody Knows. I also think it would have made a much better single than We Deal In Dreams on that album. On a sad note, I can't find the CD which has Vine Street on it anymore, its very frustrating!

I hope there is a blooper reel on the DVD as a bonus feature. We all know Ed is going to f*ck up the lyrics to at least two or three songs, much like he completely forgot the first verse of PoD in Ventura. So it might be amusing to have a clip reel of them messing up, laughing about it and starting the song over.

Speaking of this, I have a bootleg of Live from the V era playing Heropsychodreamer. It starts ferociously with an astonishing keyboard riff and I'm thinking "oh yes, this is the sh*t!". Then EK proceeds to forget the lyrics completely and sings most of it out of tune. The song never recovers. Has anyone else heard this version? Aarrgghhh!!!!
