Here's a collection of tracks that I'm sure you'll all enjoy. They're outtakes from 'The Distance to Here' era. There's no Rick Rolling with these links. I promise. smile.gif

• Sun (alternate version)

• Deeper (alternate version with sitar)

• The Distance (with a few alternate lyrics)

• Where Fishes Go (with guitar intro and alternate ending)

• Walk Into This Room (Ed solo)

• Meltdown (with a few alternate lyrics)

• Voodoo Lady (unmixed demo version)

• Overcome (full band studio version)

• Dance With You (with a few alternate lyrics)

• Feel The Quiet River Rage (with alternate ending featuring a sitar)

• Still Aroused (studio version)

• Don't Wait (unmixed demo version)

• They Stood Up For Love (unmixed demo version) [big bang version]

• Face & Ghost (alternate version with different choruses)

• Vine Street (with a few alternate lyrics)

Thank you Dan, it's appreciated.

Track 11, Feel the Quiet River Rage seems to not be working properly. All of the other files downloaded fine for me

Is there a Track 2? Sparkle is labeled track 1 while deeper is labeled track 3.

It worked fine for me. Anyway, I've re-uploaded the track and have updated the link in my original post.

Is there a Track 2?

Track 2 will not be uploaded. It's an alternate version of Sun.

Thank you, it works now. Might have been an ISP thing.

Is it because it's worth bartering? I have some alternate version of Sun that has a sitar sound in it but it's probably not the version in question here.

Not particularly. I think the 2 big tracks in this collection that everybody would be most interested in hearing are Overcome (full band) and the studio version of Still Aroused.

No, I go for the old one. Don't think it have the nerve the old has. Sounded like Ed got lost behind the instruments. But I really happy I got it.

Ow, I can't believe these were leaked... no.gif

Why do they come as a filetype called "File"? It is really annoying.

• Walk Into This Room (Ed solo)

By far my favorite track out of the set.

What does it "Ed Solo" mean exactly? Did he just write the music Solo? Did he play each instrument on the track? Initially I expected it to be a studio acoustic of just Ed, but that's not what it was. It seems to have piano/keys and a bit of Orchestral strings [although this could be electronic keyboard]. Anyone know any details?

I think EVERYONE besides you knows the details. It's referred to as "Ed solo" because it was originally recorded as a duet with Neneh Cherry. It's your favorite track out of the set? Are you out of the closet yet?

You want me out of the closet don't you? You're just frothing at the mouth for an official opportunity to hit on me. Sorry to disappoint.

I, for whatever reason, skipped out on the duet with Neneh Cherry, but now that you mention it I've come across it before just never listened to it, so this song, in general, was new to me.
