RIAA Gold® Certified "THROWING COPPER" Plaque, personally AUTOGRAPHED by LIVE.

LIVE are excited to extend this special offer to FOL prior to public availability. You can now purchase your own piece of official rock n' roll history, LIVE's first certified Recording Industry Association of America - Gold® Album, "THROWING COPPER". Spanning over 40 years, the Gold® award program is the longest-running objective measure of achievement for sound recording in the United States, and provides an unmatched historical perspective on the success of countless recording artists. Presented to the band in 1994, this plaque represents US sales of 500,000 albums and is similar in style to the personal awards given to the band.

The plaque Reads:

PRESENTED TO:
Your Name Engraved Here

TO COMMEMORATE RIAA CERTIFIED GOLD® SALES OF MORE THAN
500,000 COPIES OF THE
RADIOACTIVE RECORDS
ALBUM AND COMPACT DISC
"THROWING COPPER"

But this offer will only be available to Homespun members until May 7th, 2008 at 3PM EST or until the limited quantity we have sells out – whichever occurs first. After that time, if there are any leftover, we will be offering them to the general public.

PLUS, don’t forget to use the member coupon code to take 10% off of the price! So not only are members getting to buy it before others, but you’re getting it cheaper too! You can find the most recent coupon code listed in the Homespun online area of the web site.

Log into your Homespun online account and click on the member store to take advantage of this offer. During the checkout, you’ll need to specify what name you want listed on the plaque in the “Special Instructions” box. Please double check the spelling, since we cannot be responsible for typographical errors. Since this item is personalized, all sales are final! No exceptions!

Members: log in now to get this limited edition offer while supplies last!! If your not a member and don’t want to wait and see if we have any left to sell to the public, you’d need to purchase a membership in the online store. Then once your membership order is submitted, you’ll receive your login information automatically via email.

Pretty cool, I wonder how big it is? Is that a CD or an LP?

What is the member coupon code? I am a member (just renewed last week) but I don't know what code they are talking about.

I wouldn't have gotten in even if I had the money... if it was a vinyl It would have been more tempting.

This seems odd. What are we paying $400 for. Don't say autographs since those are fairly easy to come by this last decade.

It does look nice though. I probably would have bought that 5 or 6 yrs ago.

Look at the photo. It's definitely a vinyl

I ordered one even though it's pretty damn expensive. Guess I'm just a sap for Live eh.gif

I received the plaque a few days ago and it looks REALLY gorgeous bounce.gif

However the craftmanship leaves some to be desired... The actual board which has the vinyl, cover and metal sign on it is stapled to the frame from the back at a ~45 degree angle so the staples won't hit the glass, which is fine... But two of them had hit the glass and chipped off some of it, leaving a crack, which luckily can be hidden by moving the glass up a bit.

I had to open the plaque from behind, by removing the back cover, to get out the pieces of broken glass, which was jammed in between the glass and the board and then I'll have to somehow secure it to the frame again. I expect a bit more for such a relatively expensive product

But then it will be ready to go on the wall smile.gif

Hi all, been a while since I've posted on here. Just want to say that I received my plaque 2 days ago, it looks awesome under the lights. Thanks for the opportunity to buy one.

Leigh.

It does look nice, but I reckon I could knock one together in about an hour for about £10. All I'd need is an old vinyl album from the nearest charity shop, some gold spray paint and a trip to the printer to blow up your CD cover to album size and a piece of green card. lol.gif

Don't get the Brazilian version. It looks like crap.
