I figure we could put all the movie previews/reviews from this summer into this thread. Remember, if there are spoilers in your review, please post a warning first.

Iron Man comes out this weekend. It has great buzz, and an excellent lead actor in Robert Downey Jr. Anyone else as excited as me to see it? I have my ticket for Saturday evening and can't wait to get there! I'll send a brief report after I see it.

I'd rather talk about movies that are coming out in the Australian winter in 2008!

That being said The Dark Knight still tops the list for me, I don't think I've been this excited about a movie ever. The new trailer is amazing, especially the modified version with The Joker writing all over it, awesome stuff like "Boring Part" over scenes that don't involve him and drawing lightsabers on his hand, arrows pointing to himself saying "me me me!" and renaming the movie "The Dork Knight" haha

Other than that, Indiana Jones and Forgetting Sarah Marshall which i've just seen .. it's good, but nothing great, I really only saw it for Russell Brand. Get Smart is another. And even though they're later in the year both James Bond and Harry Potter I'll be looking forward to

I really hope Get Smart is good. It has an amazing cast, and actually as a shot to live up to the always funny TV show. Usually TV remakes suck, I'm hoping they get it right this time.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall which i've just seen ..

Are the Gallaghers mentioned there as promissed?

Of course, we are not seeing it in the movies, but getting a dvd for all the friends to see and smile is a must I guess. I love those kind of stupid comedies every now and then.

I heard that Forgetting Sarah Marshall had full frontal male nudity. Can you say unnecessary! The only time that was funny was in the Simpsons Movie, and that was because it was done in a clever way. Otherwise, no thanks.

whats the difference between this and female full frontal nudity? Sure I would certainly enjoy watching Mila Kunis naked more, but why not just say full frontal nudity all together? heynow.gif

And yes it does feature briefe full frontal male nudity.

Yes, I can say: unnecessary.

I can also ask: So?

I don't know, I just think today's comedies just try to shock us for the sake of doing so. It lacks creativity. Full frontal shouldn't happen on a male or female, unless its a porno.

Anyway, Iron Man was excellent. Robert Downey Jr. added a lot of humor to the story and G. Paltrow wasn't bad at all. This blew away the Spiderman series, which I felt was highly overrated. I suggest everyone check it out for yourself. It is the perfect popcorn flick.

Nick, lemme tell you one thing. It is the structural crisis of EVERYTHING showbusiness is up to. In case you did not notice this has been happening for quite some time already. Mostly in the USA.

Indy opens tomorrow! Not a fan of Shia Lebouf and desperately will miss Sean Connery, however I still am really excited to see this film. Anyone else going tomorrow?

saw it last night. really dissapointed. i love the franchise, and this one just felt like a painful attempt to re-hash the magic. Marion ravenwood prances around the entire movie smiling and has like one line.

too much CGI, not enough adventure. they screwed this one up for me.
