Who actually has the Overcome full band version, how did they get it, and can I have it plz? lol.gif

I have heard it sucked and there was a reason it wasn't put on V... It isn't worth chasing.

Well, it's a great song to have for collection purposes, but it really is a disappointing effort. I'm not a huge fan of this song anyway, but it sounds a lot better on V.

The best version of Overcome is on Radiant Sea

I concur! The version on V blows the full band version out of the water.

i'm pretty sure Live would have worked on the full band version if they wanted it to release. Now it's just more flat, unmastered and more demo-sounding than the V-version, that's an important difference.

But after all, there's for sure a reason why they liked the V version better. thumbsup.gif It IS bettrer. Too bad it's one of the only songs that's really an Ed solo song, but released under the name Live. I can't hear any other bandmember doing their thing in the song, just like you can see when it's performed live.

Let it be known I have never actually HEARD the real full band version... I am just going from hearsay.

I think it is long past time for an instrumental piece from Live. I don't know how they can release all these albums without one of the band members speaking up and telling Ed to hush for a second and pick up a guitar and pull out a fantastic jam! rockin.gif

The closest thing we have to that is the Intro... shrug.gif

And so were We Deal in Dreams and Vine Street. I fully understand your point. But, there are two songs that appeared on the Four Songs EP that never made their way to Mental Jewelry. I was just making the point of known recordings from an album era that never made it to the actual album. Figured I would do that here as opposed to making a 25th thread on basically the same topic. guitar.gif
