Like everyone else here I'm a huge fan of Live in concert. After going through my concert recordings a common feature that I've noticed, as I'm sure you have, is that overall they are mostly pretty poor or middle of the road quality recordings.

Since going to bootleg sites can be time consuming and tedious I thought it would be a good idea to put together a thread to help everyone find the best quality concert recording from each Live era to add to their collection.

If you know of a specific show that is of outstanding quality, possibly the best, for any of Live's eras:

MJ, TC, SS, TDTH, V, BOP, and SFBM

please share the date, link, or upload here! music.gif

I highly support this... I got alot of concert recordings just to have them suck when I shuffle. I skip them most of the time unless they are very good.

I got 2 concerts from the SFBM era;

- June 24th, 2006 at the Southsidefestival in Germany and;
- April 9th, 2006 at Palladium in Cologone, Germany.

These are both of great quality, prob the best I got BUT these were on This very site, so many people probably already got these.

If you dont Im happy to upload it for you.

I'm not sure of the exact date, but one of my absolute favorite bootlegs is the University of Rhode Island gig in 1993 .. very awesome sounding versions of MJ tracks on that with the best version of Susquehanna ever. Ed's voice is probably at it's best in my opinion on this bootleg.

The June 24th, 2006 concert is what prompted me to start the thread. It was actually posted here for a while in the MP3 section. It sounds like a professional recording which led me to believe there must be others with the same clarity.

This is the best LIVE concert ever. I have to agree with you. It can be fiund both @ Bootlegheaven and Liverockspace. If someone wantsit - I can upload it.

V era is definitely the great time for Soundboard gigs, so I go for Grunspan, which is very long, incredibly nice soundign and unfortunately lacks one of my faves, Deep Enough, in the recording. Other than that it is perfect.

June 24th, 2006 at the Southsidefestival in Germany

I'd like this one, please.

Is it already uploaded somewhere?

Thanks!

Is that the one where someone was throwing stuff at Ed during Operation Spirit and he was like "Hit me muthafucuker! Hit me next time with it."?

The recommended BOP download isn't availible on bootlegheaven and liverockspace has been down for weeks. Does anyone have another clear concert recommendation for BOP or can anyone upload the recommended concert?

Alright, I'm dumping all of my crappy bootlegs for a solid one from each era:

So here's where I'm at so far:

MJ: Rhode Island 2/27/93
TC: Still looking (something other than unplugged)
SS: Riverside 3/2/97
TDTH: Germany 12/18/99
V: Pinkpop 5/18/02
BOP: Still looking
SFBM: Germany 6/24/06

Thanks for all of the advice so far
