He is not posting and the language and attacks in that thread led to the suspension. On top of all the other garbage that was done over the year.

haha agreed, the fun is now in the chaos that is every thread becomes a hijacked clusterfuck. The suspension is absolutely balls and if more are to come it will absolutely kill the board. All I'm picturing is that modified version of Itchy and Scratchy:

"Lemonade?"

"Please!"

"You're my best friend!"

which will instead be:

"I like Live"

"I do as well"

This is 2008 and all you have to do is make one wrong click on the internet and you're bombarded with sex, swearing and violent images ... censoring people because of how they talk here is futile. Sure it's mentioned there were personal attacks but anyone who can't deal with a bit of banter and name calling here is seriously sheltered. If for instance Ex said something to me that actually really did cut to the bone and hurt then I'd probably PM him about it, I wouldn't run crying to a moderator saying "he called me bad names".
Half the fun I thought was firing up Luke with the excessive name calling, it was like winding up a toy and letting it go ... the more ridiculous it got the funnier it got. If Live was actually doing something other than nothing or touring with stagnant setlists we'd probably all have something with a bit of substance to discuss. People like Ex, Edstipe, Alex and as much as it pains me to say it, Liverocks are at least inciting and encouraging posting to happen ... otherwise we'd all be completely subjected to more Hoodstock polls where we constantly just rank songs/albums/haircuts etc in order of favorites.

I've been in that thread. I've not read all of it because it's juvenile. As a gay woman with close, dear loved ones who are also gay, I find LiveRock's attempts at "PC backlash coolness" contrived and utterly contemptible. But damn, I'm a grown up; people are different; if I don't want to read his bigoted rantings, I move on to another thread. That's the way the world works, on message boards and off.

His insults aside, both LiveRocks and especially Existential are two of the very few people on this board who have something to say. They can string complete sentences, indeed complete thoughts, together. They understand music, and have actual mature opinions and ideas about the fucking world.

If you ban ed stipe, may Ed Kowalczyk come to your house and croon "Love Shines" until your mouth fills with bile and your head explodes!
