Transmit your Love has this line...

The outside world is a God damn shame...

That alone is a good line, which is well delivered. The whole song though isn't too good.

Transmit and The Ride are similar. You have to listen to the sound and not really the words (something I rarely do) to appreciate them. Start Transmit from 2:45 and listen to the rest. The harmonies in this part and the awesome guitar scream make this song.

If you want compelling lyrics don't look here. If you measure a live album by instrumentals, this album is better than MJ.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

That's one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever heard. V is nowhere even close instrumentally to MJ, comparing them is just nonsensical. MJ is so much more complex instrumentally that it makes what you're saying sound like a joke. Except you don't mean it to be and that's sad.

The bass and drums in PLOTR absolutely kill anything off V a trillion times over. Even the guitar in Peace is Now absolutely fucking KILLS any of the pathetic work on V. As a matter of fact, V doesn't have one song I don't think with more than a two chord progression. The "scream" you hear on Transmit Your Love is amateurish, 2 chords and some whammy bar. The drumming throughout the album is non progressive and also quite amateurish, not one single attempt at mixing it up whatsoever.

Give me one single example of where the musicianship on V is better than ANYTHING off MJ. If Transmit your Love is all you got? Give it a rest, you obviously have not a clue as to what you're talking about.

Just because it sounds good to your ears, doesn't make it good or complex instrumentally. The work on MJ is a trillion times better.

You cant say that the one work is better than the other, its different.
Better is JUST your opinion, so stop screaming and shut up we heared enough of you.

Anyways I think V is an ok album, definetly better than SFBM.
Its totally different to the other albums and its quite unique I think. I dont know any other album of any other band which sounds like it.

Besides that, I really appreciate Live for making different albums, time and time again.
I dont say its easy to make a consistent similair sound that appeals to mainstream, like Nickelback to name some.
What Live does is harder and deserves more credit for trying something else.

I can't remember any guitar solo out of MJ at all... it would not fit in the album to have one. There are some riffs and a lot of bass work but the guitar is not the main instrument in this album. BoG, Mirror song, Peace is Now... these songs sound great and some may even have some cool drums but V beats all these songs in the guitar department.

I know that that didn't make V better than MJ. MJ actually had intelligent writing was meant to relay a message. V is pure tripe and in some cases like Transmit or the the last part of Radiant Sea (a V era song) you can hear some pretty awesome guitars. It doesn't manage to float the album, but it is worth noting.

I personally like the intro to Simple Creed, I think it's pretty cool regardless of difficulty or musical merit.

STFU you incoherent tree monkey.

Badman, there is no guitar work worth noting off of V neither other than Simple Creed, which is nothing to write home about . Instrumentation doesn't just mean the electric guitar neither. It includes drums, bass, electric, keyboards and many other artificial means.

V leads over MJ in none of these categories. Where are the solos in V??? You call that little riff in Transmit your love a solo?

And to that Nobody knows monkey, doesn't matter if it's different. Instrumentation isn't subjective you 15 year old bed wetting jack ass. You gonna say that the instrumentation on a Zeppelin album isn't better than V? Just different? That's even more idiotic than what I heard originally.

I seriously feel sorry for the people who will depend on your generation. Some of the dumbest motherfuckers this planet has or ever will see. WOW omg.gif

I have to give you props for coming up with "tree monkey," That is hilarious! lol.gif Sometimes the best insults don't involve swear words at all.

I contend, where are the solos in MJ?

I also disagree with Hoodie, V beats SFBM anyday. I am ashamed to call that "Live"

Fuck, I feel wrong saying this, but Luke is on the money again. V sucks so badly it almost makes me wonder if it was a joke. MJ is great though.

There's actually a fairly well done acoustic solo in Peace is now near the end.

Where is the solo in V? Hell, where are the solo's in ANY of Live's music? There aren't very many. A gay ass one in Turn My Head, A decent one in White, Discussion and not too many others.

Guitar work is just a percentage of instrumentation. You tell me where there is anything that resembles good instrumentals or musicianship on V. Tell me where there is one single piece of cleverly written music.

For on MJ, the bassline throughout the song is written in well with the pace of the song, it's fucking genius. I've actually heard quite a few people on different forums discuss how great the bass is in that song and how the drums, vocals and pace of the song go with it quite wickedly. My opinion is that PLOTR is probably the single best piece of instrumental work LIVE have ever done.

Although not complex, Peace is Now is much the same. Well done acoustics, and drum work
on the same level. Clever lyrics and good pace make it a thousand times better than anything off of V, instrumentation wise and lyrically.

I could say the same for Susquehanna, which fucking blows away anything off V.

I'm embarassed for both V and SFBM but if I had to pick one? Jesus, it'd have to be SFBM. I tried to listen to V again and give it a chance and was just horrified. Gotta be one of the worst albums I've ever heard by any artist EVER.

Got no problem with that dude. People like different things, all a matter of preference and/or circumstance.

But liking it and saying it's good musically like this guy is are two different things.
