Ed could be blowing Richard Simmons on the next album cover and these guys would still like it.

I know you're trying to make a point, but dude - eeeww! lol.gif

I also agree that you don't have to like all Live's work to be a fan, that's a bit silly really.

IMO, the reason Songs From Black Mountain and Birds of Pray sucked so badly (for me) is because they are nothing but a contrived and derivative imitations of the music they used to put out. It's like they were "trying to be" the band that put out Throwing Copper and The Distance To Here instead of just being the band that put those albums out.

Look, it's not about the band forcing themselves to sound like did in 1994. SFBM could have been an album of the same exact songs that are on the album now. The songs should have been so much better than they were. It's almost NEVER about the songs, anyway... it's always about the band. A bad song can sound like one of the greatest ever written if it's executed and performed the right way. Live just need to get back to writing and recording the "right way".

Best post I have seen in awhile. thumbsup.gif

Yeah, They don't need to make music like TC, they need to make music that just happens to sound like TC or at try to make music that we can all relate to again. Most of us get nauseated and bored with the new song topics but that is just what they are now. I hope ed isn't listening to TC over and over and trying to recreate it. He just needs to do what he does and maybe this time let the other band members have some input... don't want a breakup now... nervous.gif

Little question for the Dutchies here ('cause I'm getting all confused now): does anyone of you listen to Arrow Classic Rock fm? Every time Marisa Heutink (she presents the program "Rock Of Ages") plays a Live-song these days she ends it with: "The band will release their new album this spring, but if you can't wait go to www.friendsoflive.com and order the album "Radiant Sea" on which you can already hear two of the new songs".

So what did I miss?

I think someone needs to email Marisa Heutink and find out what she knows. Does anyone have her email address?

You can e-mail the radio station on this site: http://www.arrow.nl/rock/index.php?option=...ontact&Itemid=3

She's mentioned her personal address during her show, but I can't remember it now. I'll listen a bit better tomorrow!

You guys are all so cynical, it's the entire band standing around a computer giving us the inside goss, no one else, not even on their official site, they're doing it for us!
