Sofia...I need ya..., Songs From Black Mountain album... Options

OK, maybe it's just me, but I'm more for the short and to the point songs. The reason for this is that longer songs often drag on too long and you can't sit down and listen to a bunch of them. Live usually doesn't put in too many choruses or anything, but I don't want them to start.

So I really didn't mean to start an arguemnt about whether the song Sofia is great or not. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. I personally love it! Oh my goodness...if Live dosen't come south (GA) for this next tour, I'm totally willing to travel to D.C. Anyone know when more tour dates will be announced?

Wings is not bad, but not really an highlight on the album i think.

Sofia, Show and Night of Nights are the only 3 that are really good enough, and well maybe Mysteriiieeeyyeeie (commercially), and yeah maybe also Love Shines

but that's it!

Wings, Night of Nights and Sofia are the only songs with anything redeeming to them whatsoever. They're just shit. The rest of the album is rotten fucking diarrhea plain and simple.

I'd add Show to that list, or at least, it's closer than the rest of the tracks. And, I must admit, although it's entire Universes below the old Live stuff, I think The River is catchy enough in the context of the album. Mystery is overrated.

like i stated before, Wings isn't bad, but nothing great. The start sounds promising, but Ed repeating 10.000 times 'Could be the wiiiihhiiiings, ...' makes it boring in the end.

Yeah, I guess show could be included too, but I disagree on The River. I seriously think it is one of the worst songs I've ever heard, even outside of the realm of Live. I lump it right in there with every sapyy and crappy repetitive R&B bullshit song out there, just put to a poor attempt at rock music.

Never understood all the "Night of Nights" love. That songs blows. Even Mystery is better than it. I agree with you on show.

Well, I must say at first I didn´t really feel much for Night of Nights. I mean, it was ok and all but nothing special. But after hearing it some more, I started to really like it. Sure, it´s nowhere near as good als Live´s best songs, but on the SFBM album it´s one of the better songs, if you ask me.
