Yeah, they are working on new material, but I'm not sure if it's ready to play. Also, no idea about the song like Stage...

yes, it sounds similar to stage

it's called Bring the People Together! cool.gif

hehe no but serieus, if they are really workin on a song REALLY similar to Stage, that would kickass

but yeah, ed compared SFBM often with TC, so that's a 180 degrees turn, and not comparable on any kind, so even if people say so, we have to wait and see smile.gif

Starland Ballroom in Sayreville NJ is teasing a huge concert announcement tonight "Live at 5pm" for March 15th. I have no inside info about this date, but it does sound promising.

Nice call!

heh, Ed also said in several interviews that he thought SFBM was what fans of the band wanted to hear.

I think the only time most fans want to hear SFBM is when they're feeling nauseated and feel like they're on the verge of heaving. Starts the ball rolling for them.

That pisses me off.

A band should NEVER make music based on the premise that they think it's what fans of the band want to hear.

Make music that the BAND wants to hear. If you're good enough, and passionate enough, fans will like it. If they don't, fuck it, at least you made something you can be proud of.

Well, when I say that only the big Live fans turn out for shows anymore, that includes the people who just go to see the concert and don't care all too much about the music. There's a huge following from SOY who go to a ton of shows and just gawk at Taylor the whole time and bring an extra pair of panties for when Ed takes his shirt off. That's who Live plays too, unfortunately.

well.. you forgot the crowd that deeply cares about their music and can not let a day go by without listening to LIVE and bring the extra pair of panties for ed.. blush.gif

If you saw Ed perform SFBM in concert, you would know that he truely loved the material. It was also material that should have gotten play on Hot A/C radio, it just didn't work out.

That said, I would bet that the new album will have a harder edge than SFBM.

yeah, as said before, i think it will be more of a BoP album, and that would be fine with me

I do think they'll change producers. Jim Wirt is used to having to overproduce bands like Hoobastank to make them listenable, which is unecessary with Live.

Well the content of Live's last couple of albums certainly don't make them very listenable. But still, getting rid of Jim Wirt would at least be one step in the right direction.
