The Desert Southwest in the US is more a thousand kilometers across. The only reason people can live there is that there are rivers which originate in huge mountains which collect snow in the winter, high above the warm dry flatlands. Large cities are many hundreds of miles apart, and even tiny towns may be an hour or two away from the next tiny town.

Should you ever visit the US, be sure to include that part of the country.

It's used pretty commonly where I'm from, and I know I've heard people from other places say it, too. It might be more common here, but I don't think it's an exclusively American term.

It's almost a common word over here in Belgium (or at least in the Dutch part of it). It's used alot like in "and this is the chill-out zone of the party!"...( )

Dana and I met up in Germany last Januari for a couple of days, it was too short but we had real fun! Shisha's and B-52's !!!! Fuck we CAN drink, lol.



Last December was great, strolling around in Amsterdam with Dana, Laura and Debby.
(We got some other nice places there to go to as well ladies )

The ultimate meetup for Rush fans is coming up soon! July 14-16 Toronto. RushCon2112. Below is a picture of some veterans taking pix of the newbies. There are a good number of people who have been to all five and are coming again this year. One is Seiji, who flies from Japan every year. This will be my second RushCon and it will be good to see all those great folks again. There's also a lot of most excellent nOObs that I'm thrilled to meet.
