It DOES make a difference in the real world if you have proper grammar and can talk like an intelligent person. If you sound like you belong in an office, they will hire you. If you sound like you belong on a construction crew you will get the job. I got my job with no past experience simply because of my interview. I know this b/c I shredded the 30 other Resumes and saw who I was against.

I'm sure nick does a good enough job, as long as he isn't throwing Black English Vernacular their way or something other than Standard English.

Oh wow, I hope this is sarcasm...

Most BEV speakers speak it because it was spoken to them in the 1st years of their life and that is all they know. By your logic, when we go into the inner city we should learn to talk like them because we become the minority language in that area.

I do agree with you on speaking a country's main language. I live in Texas so I get my share of Spanish where I shouldn't have to. You might get French and probably feel the French people should get on the English train.

You know guys, I think this thread and the Live is breaking up thread are possibly 2 of the greatest in this board's history. It's gloves off fighting, there seems to be no teams because everyone is having a go at each other in some ways, there are complete thread derailments and the conversation is getting more and more ridiculous, there was half a page on Gorilla arse hair ... bravo everyone, now lets continue, this has a long way to go!
