First of all, I'm not by from a trailer park, but thank you for offending everyone here who is! thumbsup.gif Glad you have a biased against people struggling economically!

Now, I'm done with you. I look forward to reading anyone else's review of V!

With the blatant display of grade 6 grammar in that post, you proved my point about your lack of education in 2 lines. Good job!! banana.gif

It's no bias against poor people, but bias against people like you who are still breastfeeding from mommy in your twenties. People who stuck their nose up at an education for a life of wiping their asses outside. People who brush their teeth as often as George Bush tells the truth! banana.gif Sound familiar ass puppet? banana.gif banana.gif

ofcourse I don't think V is their best album, and ofcourse I don't like all the songs, but I don't agree on many songs with you Hoodstock>

But for sure, everyone's entitled to their own opinion

1. Intro
Although it sounds cool, and good as an intro, in fact it's nothing really special, it's just mixed sounds and some tricky, but not special, and for a real intro I would like to hear a longer track.

2. Simple Creed
Good songs, and good choice as single, cool guitar riffs and text is oke, although not ground breaking, but it's cool&positive at the same moment. Tricky fits good in this song

3. Deep Enough
Actually the most rockin' song on the album and with my 3 favo's of this album. Can't believe people say this is bad, cause it's good and catchy and rocks from beginning to the end. This should have been a single.

4. Like A Soldier

Well, and this one shouldn't! lol.gif It's not that I think it's bad, but it's not by the best of the album. Especially the chorus isn't great, like a soldier through storms of love, or whatever. Mwoa.

5. People Like You
I really dig this one. The fast part singing in the chorus is really cool, but the lyrics are not their best. The calling of famous names is original, at least in Live's music, its something new.

6. Transmit Your Love
This one's more of a Live sound than the others, and when I first listened the album I really liked the lyrics. "Tell your leaders love's in town!!" Like them still, actually. It has a good 'overall-sound'

7. Forever May Not Be Long Enough
A really really weird sound for a Live song (especially at first hearing), but really good, mysterious, rocking and (not good) but quite cool lyrics. It sounds like a modern SS song!!

8. Call Me A Fool
Not very bad, but a little too 'Ed-ish', a song Ed can play alone on his guitar at concerts, like Get Ready. Not really a fan of it, but the high notes and parts are really good, I must admit.

9. Flow
The part from the quiet intro to the guitars kickin' in, is maybe the most rockin' second of the whole album! Really well done. Rest of the song is oke, and great. Ohw btw Hoodstock, I like the Flow, flow, floooohoow parts!

10. The Ride
Maybe a song with good intentions and not a bad idea, but it can;t hit me, and I don't like most the lyrics. In the west, we think we're the best" A little weak heynow.gif , compared to MJ lyrics for example. But yeah, you can't compare MJ and V lyrics at all I guess nod.gif

11. Nobody Knows
1. Why did they put this one (as a non single!!!) on Awake? 2. Why is it one of Ed favo's (well maybe that explained 1. cool.gif ) and 3. why does the chorus sound as a quite bad love song?? "Nobody knows what I would do for you, no body knows how much I lovvvve you baby" surrender.gif next!!

12. OK?
I like the songs. Ed's rap is not really good, I agree. And the song is a little over the tip. But still liking this one.

13. Overcome
I heard this one for the first time when on the radio, and thought: I dont know this one, and sounds like Live, a new song! Than I listened it till the end, and liked this song from the this very first time. I (almost) never ever like a song at first hearing, not any song in the world. But this one sounds like an ultimate classic at first time victory.gif

14. Hero Of Love
A lill a softy, but good musically, and an okee ending of the cd

15. Deep Enough - remix
weird to place a remix on a Live studio album, but let's say it fits the whole non-Live feeling on the whole album lol.gif but the original is better.

Album V:
I agree with much fans that it was experimental for Live's style, and in some cases the experiment turned out bad. But still it has some good sounds, lyrics that flow good together and after all (yes I know it's written for TDTH), V gave us Overcome and for that alone we should be thankfull. Not my no.1 album of Live, but I don't think it deserves the negativism that it mostly gets.

7. Forever May Not Be Long Enough
shit i hate this song coz it slows down all the crazyness before, normally i only listen to this album when im gettin erady to go out, and this one i have to skip coz it slows everthin down. THIS WORD IS NEVER ENOUGH! MA FAITH IN LOVE IS NEVER ENOUGH! I SPILL IT FREELY ENOUGH! i like that bit. thats like loud and agressive but hes kinda whispering it. strange. there it goes again yeh thats good shit. man im running outta cigaretes i only got two and heaps a songs left. songs ending now im lighting one up. whos the chick doin the eastern crap at the end?

9. Flow
oh fuck yes this is THE song that defines V /. the opening lyrics are so coo.l/ it rocks out from strat to finish. EVERYBODY"S HERE> MYSTErY AND BEER> WHAT THE FUCK!??? seriously, this is what drugs do yo you man! this is why so many anti-drug programs were xcreated because of this album! mystery and beer I HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR! flow flow flow music to my ears i love this song man its rockin. bust it out ed! FLOW oh yes! ther shoulda been a vid for this one with ed just singin flow and crazy colours flyin around and shit!~

10. The Ride
hahahahaha i like how you here all these eastern instruments and sounds and then he goes :in the east! thats is classic ed. corny. and you dont neeedd no money to truly fly! i wish that was true but when i hear this song i beleive it, in the west we thinbk were the best, well i bet people in the east think they suck the least! this sounds so secret smadhi dont ask me how to spell that one,. its like that hole album. a great tune this one. like the riff after the bridge, man these guys are flyin alright, flyinm high! what were they thinkin? that was cool. like this song and the gregorian chanting at the end too.

11. Nobody Knows
holy crap this shit gets funnier as it goes,. you dont know if ed is taking it all seriously but i doubt it i think everyone just kindsa said fuck it like;. in the second verse when he says i wss lsilent in love ---pouring down from above;; he sings it so stupid, nobody really knows i can see the other, was ed temporarlity insane at the time og this shit.:? i can see the other guyts in the studio exchanging strange looks haha the whistelling, pat-" oh shit hes whistelling again", chad"- somebody stop him:": chad"-just go with it": man it just drags on.

12. OK?
u said it ed, i am not ok. this song is like groovy bad. bad but groovy coz its so stupid but it flows and its loud and thast cool. cool drums, strange keybordy stuuf happenin, this song blows my mind with how mujch shit went into it, couldnt see it happnin live, sentient being>? coffe grounds? i like the Im on the outside , peering in bit. dont want your fuckin therapy, yeh i like that one,. thats what i told dr Lind! thsat was a pretty short song

13. Overcome
everyone sings a long to this wehn i play the album on satyurday nihgts, and they all go what? is this a live album? are asll those other song live too?>? umm like yes! this plastic litt;e place is just a step amoungs the stairs i believe that to some extent, thats a cool lyric. this song is really good. everyone loves it,. i think the only song when eds falsetto actually works, and its and the piano bridge is eerie and gives me the goodsbumps. i coulda made a better vid with my phone camera.

14. Hero Of Love
wheres this a,bum headed? so much crazy shit goin on then all these mushy songs with weird melodies and lyricx, the healer held my hand>?>? the whole world thinks that i am sinsane? yeh i dont doubt that one after hearing thisl. everyone sasysd this album dont flow well but i dis agree i think it flows in its own shittiness, and weirdness, so unlike anything theyve done or anyone elses done for all i know. thisd is such a strange song man, god did he say i wanna move the deviL????????????? anuff said

15. Deep Enough (Remix)
ed tryin to be cool this is gold! im outta smokes i cant be fucked listening to this one

1. Intro- I think this should have been longer. I have heard only a couple intros by bands and I have to say this is the worst intro I have heard.

2. Simple Creed- This song has a good message, I have no clue why they felt it should be a single or that they should make a video for it. It is very bland and the "better back up fool" part is not Live at all...

3. Deep Enough- I like the intro! Definitely better than SC. This is a song devoid of lyrics and tries to cash in on a good sound. I think it does that very well. Like any rap song just don't listen to the words and it sounds great! (also I have to give credit to the part at about 2:20, it rocks rockin.gif )

4. Like A Soldier- Terrible! Some of live's worst lyrics. I wrote better lyrics for this a while back and I have no musical talent! They don't even make sense at times! Soldier through storms of love? What does being a soldier have to do with love?? They kill things! death.gif

5. People Like You- I like it oddly enough. I would love to see it at a show! The world does need people like us smile.gif

6. Transmit Your Love- This song confuses me so... Ed sings well in it though. "The outside world is a god-damn shame" is the best line in the album. At like 2:48 the song starts rocking so much and everything after that is like a whole other song!

7. Forever May Not Be Long Enough- I don't get the hate. Best song on V and worst video ever solely b/c of Ed's hair. It follows the old live pattern we love... soft then crazy loud! My only complaint is that in the chorus it sounds like they say "forever may be long enough" like they forgot the "not." The only song off V I would be proud to say is Live. I hold this song above others like Saviour for a day, PLBTR, Waitress, Radiant sea, Rattlesnake, and all of SFBM.

8. Call Me A Fool- Argggh! Why is ed singing so high?? This is where I put it back to simple creed... I call Ed a fool for giving birth to this trash.

9. Flow- I hate how quiet the beginning is. As an Atheist I hate the "Mouth of god is wide, so let's just fall inside" line... Bad lyrics next song please.

10. The Ride- Not as bad as I remember it.... There's a weird instrument that is making this song work. The lyrics are less egocentric as the first songs. I can tell he tried with at least the chorus of the song. The exit of the song is awesome! this whole song should just be whatever that instrument is...

11. Nobody Knows- Once again, why is ED singing so high? It's listenable I guess... The lyrics are so weak... I can tell he wrote this to impress some chick...

12. OK?- Ed's singing is horrible! He should of remade this but kept the instrumentals the same. I think it's called Ok? because that is how we are supposed to react. Ok... eh.gif next!

13. Overcome- Sweet Piano! music.gif I can't connect this to 911 in any way. I'm not the only one either. The song should have picked up and started rockin' with some emotion but no0o0o0... Ed doesn't feel like that. Imagine if the band came in at 2:50 and started a crazy guitar and drum frenzy! I honestly thought that's where they were going...

14. Hero Of Love- Not bad, sounds like it came from TDTH. I enjoy it more and more every time.

15. Deep Enough (Remix)- I don't like how they took out the Jesus died part for ancient times. I like both versions about the same after that fact. Good car music.

Overall Summary:

On the same level as BoP with me. Half of both albums are trash. Both are better than SFBM though. I kinda wish it didn't destroy live commercially though... I resent that.

Instead of hugging cock, why don't you give a real review? You call saying this song sucks and that song sucks without giving any objective criticisms, an actual review? I call it nonsensical babblings from a little fucktard hick. Give an actual reviw and maybe I'll follow up with one. Until then, hide from daddy cos he'll be home to stetch that asshole some more.

If you're going to critique my review then you better throw a hissy fit about what Wambangalang wrote too. Otherwise you've got some serious double standard issues. I look forward to your lack of bitching about him to prove my point!

By the way Wam, halarious!

Also, this is the worst album of Live's career ... by a landslide. THAT IS MY OPINION!

I haven't listened to V for such a long time, so I can't give a review of each song; nor do I want to. Some noteworthy songs are simple creed, deep enough, transmit your love, forever ..., and overcome. And hoodstock, I definitely can't agree with you on forever and overcome: the 2 best songs on the album. I heard overcome was made during the distance to here era. Is that true? If so, why the hell didn't they put it on TDTH like Vine street. Vine Street and Overcome are some of the best songs they have done.

Overall opinion of V: half of the songs blow and the rest(beside overcome and forever) are alright. I agree with what what most of you guys said.

Hate being in the minority all the time, but I guess I'll suck it up...

1. Simple Creed: One of the greatest guitar intros by Live kicks off another one of Live's greatest faster paced songs. A fun song with slightly cheesy lyrics (a common thing on this album and Secret Samadhi) and a classic Live chorus.

2. Deep Enough:A soft intro kicks off into a rocking song. More cheesy lyrics. The rhythm and guitar solo make this a great song. The interlude's kinda nice too.

3. Like A Soldier:This upbeat single is a song that grew on me. A chorus I can hum to is nice (humming isn't much of Live's thing), and I personally like the rapping interlude, it's something different. I guess the soft-hard formula that live does to death (especially on Secret Samadhi and Throwing Copper) doesn't wear down others as much as it does me, so I appreciate the different stuff a little more I guess.

4. People Like You:I must say I really hate the lyrics in a couple of verses. The chorus saves it a little bit, fast-paced and angry, but this is probably my least favorite song on the album.

5. Transmit Your Love:"The outside world is a goddamn shame." Bam. That just happened. The "Tell your leaders love is in town" is some more cheese but it rocks and the guitar "solo" is cool.

6. Forever May Not Be Long Enough:This song took a while to grow on me, but now I love it. It has the old-school Live formula kickin' and it is really catchy.

7. Call Me A Fool:There's a lot of hate on this song, but I think it's beautiful. Some of the best lyrics on the album. It also doesn't stay long enough to let the monotony kill you.

8. Flow:This song has a nice quiet intro, rocks it out, and is catchy as hell. Real nice song.

9. The Ride:Great song. Catchy and uplifting chorus. This song really takes me to that other place. Was my favorite on the album for a long time.

10. Nobody Knows:The verses in the song are beautiful, the whistling is beautiful, the rest is not. Balances out to a slightly above average song (for Live) and my 2nd least favorite on the album.

11. Ok?:Funky song with an amazing bass line. I really like it. Not many do. Sue me.

12. Overcome:Beautiful piano. Beautiful lyrics. Beautiful period.

13. Hero of Love:Honestly, who does not like this song? The chorus is simply amazing. One of the most underrated songs created by them. And it happens to be the last true song on Live's "worst" album.

Conclusion:I'm young, right? So I'm stupid, right? V's my 2nd favorite album. The only album they have that makes you want to dance, get up and jump. Cheesy, yes. Different, yes. But Live could've cranked out Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi over and over again. Would it have gotten repetitive? I guess we'll never know. So why cry that a band is changing? Go read the Rolling Stone's reviews on the Live albums. Their with me. V is tied with TDTH for 2nd best according to them. But I don't trust them that much because they gave all the albums less than 5 stars happy.gif

Nope, his review rocked!

Also agree that this is Live's worst work ever. I've thrown the cd away twice and each time it gets bought again. I'd throw the piece of shit away again but I can't find it.

Liverocks77, you are a total ass and a waste of space on this site.

I completely agree with Hoodstock, V is the worst album Live has ever produced. I won't waste my time breaking it down song by song because I just summed it up.
