Good call. When was the last time Live didn't let us down? lol.

QUOTE(rock0n13 @ Oct 23 2007, 8:02 am) *

Bah, whatevs.

Let it come as it does.

I'm sick of building myself up for ZOMG NEW LIVE SHIT, and then being let down. ..just quietly.

Not to say that there's no possible way it could be awesome, because everything Live does has the potential to be incredible, especially a DVD which could contain so many things that I would deem as awesome.

But not getting the hopes up for anything too spesh.

(having said that though, please give us something great, for fuckssake! lol.gif )

ohh please....been waiting too long for this. bring it out on hd-dvd.......true hd.

HD is overrated. I cannot tell the difference and I don't have any vision problems. I pity the people that buy the HD stuff now because their money could've got them so much more. Alot of times, the only reason people have HD is for the same reason people have Hybrids, so they can brag about it. no.gif

Man, I couldn't disagree with you more about HD versus SD. I have a pretty nice Samsung SDTV, and a really nice Samsung LCD HDTV. The difference is unbelievable. The HDTVs make the SD programming look slightly worse than they do on an SDTV, but the HD programming has spoiled me. I don't have an HD DVD or BluRay player, but I've seen them and the difference is even more pronounced than for TV, making HD DVDs absolutely sick.

The dvd is out next April and will feature the boys playing from Brazil.

As for HDTV - I too own a Samsung LCD and it is the business.

Are you kidding me dude? Have you actually seen a tv with true HD versus standard def?

When I first picked up a HD TV and an HD capable cable box it was like a whole new viewing experience. Many liken it to the jump from black and white to color tv. You are absolutely BLIND if you cannot see the upgrade HD has over standard def. It literally has twice the resolution if not more than standard def.

And wtf is up with the hybrid analogy? Owning an HDTV is nothing like owning a hybrid. HDTV's are quite affordable these days. Buying a $25k hybrid is much different than owning a $700-$4k HDTV. It's not about bragging rights just because you own an HDTV. It's about the video quality and the heightened viewing experience. If you actually sat down in front of an HDTV on a channel like M-HD that broadcasts 'live' concerts you would see the difference. You can see details you would never otherwise see in standard definition television. You might catch the freckles on a beautiful woman's tit. You will see the sweat bead off a singer's forehead. These are things you would only see up close and personal in person or on a HI DEFINITION TV AND BROADCAST. Honestly, it's like being at the event (be it sports, concert, nature, etc)

Christ you must be blind or have an IQ of 80. You ought to change your name to 'BlindMan'

Well, I guess we got a bit off-topic. That said, I really hope the filming of the DVD doesn't take place in Brazil because it wouldn't be an affordable trip to make for me personally.

High Def television is certainly much better than the 640x480 resolution you get off of an old CRT. However, I still prefer the old CRT's over LCD televisions, high def or not. The response times are so bad on LCD sets, it's disgusting. Ever try watching a hockey or a football game on an LCD set? The ghosting and pixelization is absolutely disgusting, unwatchable to me.

Plasma is a different story though. Sets with software built in guarantee the owner protection against burn in and the response times are instantaneous. There's no viewing experience like watching an HD DVD on a 1080p plasma television. Absolutely fucking brilliant and stunning. Quite unlike anything I've ever seen before.

But anybody who can't notice the difference must be fucking blind. The color saturation on HD sets vs crts is like comparing night to day. Contrast ratios measuring as high as 20,000 to 1 on plasma HD sets give you a black a million times deeper than that of what you will ever see on any picture tube TV. LCD sets suffer with this quite a bit as Liquid Crystal still allows quite a bit of light to pass through when the set attempt to create an accurate black, creating a greyish black which in turn, throws off hue and saturation in creating all other colors accurately. This throws both the tint and sharpness off big time in LCD sets no matter how much you try to adjust them.

The Pioneer Elite television is KING. This set displays non high def broadcasts better than most sets display high definition. With non high def broadcasts being 4:3 aspect ratio, you can still physically zoom to full screen, or change via remote to 16:9 widescreen, without any skewing of the image. Most sets, when attempting this, will stretch the image big time making it irritating to the eyes. Also, believe it or not, some idiots still try to input analog signals into these high def tvs. Pioneer takes this low grade signal and upconverts it beautifully, still achieving a magnificent picture.

SO, to keep on topic? Shoot this Dvd on a high def Dvd format and those mthat have high def sets will get to have a far better experience than those viewing on CRT'S with old dinasaur like DVD players. You'll have to upgrade sooner or later!
