In case this hasn't already been posted, Alternative Addiction mentioned this new album:

I think you're missing the point. I already PAID for the CD. As soon as the FOL e-mail was released, I was on Live's site and I ordered the CD. I didn't want to order the online versions because I want the physical CD. In doing that, I don't get the songs until I get the CD and God only knows when that is, which is why I was asking if someone would be nice enough to point me to the songs. That's it. I'm not stealing anything - I already bought it. My wallet and credit card were already out and used on their CD.

Why is everyone so uppity these days? Jeez.

I have to say I agree 100% ... It's one thing to share stuff that can't be obtained any other way. If Live is attempting to promote and sell and album, get your wallet out. Music isn't free, and we of all people should be supporting the band in their commercial endeavors.

What's up with the blackman Tricky rapping during the bridge of this song though?

They brought him back?? I hate rap but I liked evolution revolution for some reason. It's catchy...

Both new songs are good and catchy. Radiant Sea is a BoP-like song, while Beautiful Invisible (with the exception of the falsetto part) sounds like a soft version of an SS-like song and reminds, in moments, of Merica or Horse from TC.

Maybe +Live+ should adopt the same system as Pearl Jam did when they sold their newest record online to fans. You buy the CD, and are able to download the album digitally for free right away, to tide you over until you get the record. Ironically, PJ has stopped selling their boots as digital downloads because of rampant piracy. My post wasn't a direct knock at your request, but a general knock against anyone who steals music and thinks it's okay to do so. It really does go against everything a fan should stand for.

I think Beautiful Invisible sounds like the BoP B-side and Radiant Sea came from V somewhere.

Beautiful Invisible is one of the same love songs that plague the recent albums with soft A/C tones. I only have one thing to say about that song, Invi ih ih ih ih ih ih ih isible!

Radiant sea is like old live or as close as it gets today. It starts slow but builds up into something that rocks. About the time tricky starts the rapping bridge is when it gets awesome! Listen to the last 40 seconds of the song and pay attention to the guitar (If that is guitar) It gets really fast and it rocks! rockin.gif

And to all you people that supposedly "ordered" the cd... show us your order confirmation numbers from the email if you really DID pay for it. Go get your fix by listening to the free clips at the online store while contemplating why you won't give your favourite band a measly 2 dollars middlefinger.gif

And if you don't have a credit card, get your mom to buy it for you lol.gif

Right so a friend was nice enough to purchase the new tracks for me, I'll be checking them out soon smile.gif

Edit:

Ok so I've listend to them both a couple of times, can't say I outright don't like either of them, neither will ever get close to my own personal "best of live" CD. Radiant Sea sounds a bit SFMB'ish, the music has a slight "Night of Nights" feel to it, for some odd reason it almost sounds like Ed singing with a different band, can't explain why but it doesn't really sound like the usual suspects are backing him up on the music there. It's an ok song though, nothing really rabbing about it .. if this were part of an actual new album I think it'd be overlooked pretty easily. Tricky is still a nice touch though, much love for him.

Beautiful Invisible is kinda catchy, Ed will only ever pull this off in concert some of the times, the vocals are just made for failing at a gig. It's pretty corny, but I kinda like the country tinge to it, Ed's voice in the verses actually sounds pretty good. It certainly sounds like someone combined Horse with The Distance and smacked some SFBM lyrics onto it, 2 out of 3 of that combo isn't a bad thing.

The more awesome thing is that the new WEEN album just leaked and I'm gonna get me that now seeing as I have actually already preorded it, I already know this one is gonna be awesome.

Can someone hook me up with the two new songs? I'll gladly show you proof of my pre-order receipt before you send them. Thanks!

possumkingdom73@yahoo.com

As much as I want to bash this release for it's lack of creativity - I'm going to bite my tongue. It's extremely cool of Live offering this to Homespun members for free. It's long over due, but very nice.

Maybe someone can enlighten me on their b-sides that are owned by Radioactive. I'm sure someone in the band has these tracks on a cd or computer somewhere. What happens if they just happen to leak onto the web? I just don't get why the older songs have not seen the light of day, unless Live has a plan for a future release???

Some of the two has to be a V-era song indeed. Not that I have them, but at the artwork someone showed me Railon (keyboards on V?) was named and also the producers that I rerembered from V. That would it make the first known V-outtake... we never heard of an outtake of that era.

Well, according to Radioactive's page:

Unpublished Works By LIVE:
Hold Me Up
Susquehanna
We Deal In Dreams
Horse
Mall Rat a.k.a Crayons
Cheetah
Evidence a.k.a. Photograph

Pop Vortex
Vine Street
Overcome
Change
New City
Don’t Wait
Deeper
Sun
Still Aroused

Some have leaked to the net but I still haven't heard deeper, change, new city, don't wait, hold me up pop vortex, mall rat, or photograph. If someone HAS those songs point me in their direction happy.gif

And to answer your question, no I don't think they will ever release them because Radioactive has a vicegrip on them and it would take alot of money on live's part to get them back again. They wouldn't see a return on it either because chances are they aren't album worthy.

guitar.gif nice guitar riffs on BI, the hook is quite addictive in a upbeat way, the falsetto is not too bad, drowned out a bit maybe by the backing track
