QUOTE(Wambangalang @ Sep 16 2007, 5:33 am) *

anyone care to post the lyrics at least?

I second this. All it will do is torture us a little and that's all you guys with the cd want. Can I at least know if the songs start with la la de da again...?

I kinda want a comparison of how heavy both the songs are. From how you guys talk about them I'm thinking somewhere around "Sun" heaviness.

My thoughts on the songs:

Beautiful Invisible- starts out almost like a country-western song, but turns into a great light rock song. If this was released to Hot A/C radio it would have huge potential. Very catchy with a nice bridge. To me sounds like a TDTH outtake.

Radiant Sea- Great rock song. It seems recorded lower than the other song, and sounds best if you blast it through the speakers. Sounds like a V era song to me. Love to see it released to rock radio, but probably won't happen.

Both songs are great and should make old and new Live fans happy.

Thanks for the review Nick. Please take them with a grain of salt though people. Have you ever heard Nick say anything negative or criticize any of Live's works?

Thanks Nick, now I just need lyrics. I'm surprised no one has taken the chorus and put it in their sig to claim it...

"taken with a grain of salt" I've been hearing this term all over the place. Does it mean that I am not to take the opinion as perfect but allow room for sway in one direction or the other?

Yeah - it basically means always be a little skeptical. Like I said Nick will NEVER say anything critical or bad about Live or their music so of course he's going to say the new songs are great. I've heard them; they're far from great. Think WDID level.

Just one question, has Ed got awesome pre TDTH style rock voice back or is he still wearing extremely tight pants for these recordings?

That's the big question. He needs to cut out the falsettos, badly.

I've finally gotten to hear them. I actually really like "Radiant Sea." "Beautiful Invisible" isn't bad.

How do you like the falsetto solos?

Beautiful Invisible is pretty good but I am not a huge fan of the falsetto either. Sounds like a SFBM outtake.

Radiant Sea has to be a V outtake, and it's pretty good too. Neither one is a rocker but could be worse. I'm more interested to hear the new material.
