Thanks Fredrik. There's no way I have a great voice though dude. I heard your cover of Dolphin's Cry last year and you're the one who has a great voice. I voted for it too! If you do something similar in quality this year there is no way I will come close to winning the contest. sad.gif

Before I posted the cover of “Get Ready” I knew something interesting would happen. I thought that if I were to get any positive responses it would certainly come from only the guys here. Considering the board, at least used to be, run by mostly older women, and the fact I’ve been so outspoken about fugly and fat chicks, I would not get any good response, let alone ANY response from them. I guess I did a really good job offending them!

I love what I hear! If Get Ready really does sound like that, it's beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

By the way, when I saw the name of this song for the first time I thought it was gonna sound somewhat like Simple Creed. Looks like I was wrong smile.gif

Any time I saw the title "Get Ready" I was thinking of The Proclaimers singing Get Ready and was gearing myself up to hear Ed put on his best Scotish accent. What I do love is how this song is about love, the diversity is just awesome!

Hope you don't think I'm knocking your effort Mets, cos I am not... job well done! Much appreciated giving us this sneak preview.

But that song is so shit, srsly. I've never heard the lyrics or music to it before, but if it's anything like Met's version the guitar is unsinspiring and the words are boring.

just listened to the acoustic version of "get ready" on the "the river" single, wich i got in the mail today...thanks sol!! smile.gif and i thought i sounded amazing. i think it is a very inspiring song about two people in love and taking it futher.

Now I got it too, I can judge about Mets´ version, and you did it not very bad pal, sounded similar thumbsup.gif well done
After listening the song for a few times now, I gonna like it.... But I wish that the album version is more full sounding than this accoustic one at the cd single.......

Which CD single for The River has Get Ready on it? Can it be purchased? I can't seem to find it on any online music website. shrug.gif

UPDATE: Found it through Amazon. The Sanity.com.au listing doesn't list song 3, which is the acoustic Get Ready song. I guess I'll have to get it from Amazon to ensure I get the right one.

Unfortunately it is very much like the studio version sans production and a few other minor instruments playing behind the main guitar.
