Besides Ben's hilarious face when he didn't know if he actually got that touch down or not.....

I really liked the Fed Ex commercial with the cave men. Not only was it funny that that dinosaur gets eaten but then he kicks that little one before getting squashed......thats my kind of commercial. lol.gif

That was my favorite commercial out of the bunch! Especially when he kicks his pet dinosaur!

I did like the suv commericial, where the suv was getting a car wash in the ocean...don't know what the commerical was about though...I guess the suv...
lol

EDIT: Can't think of anymore at the moment. I'll post here if I do recall any other funny commercials

Why do Americans all talk about what commercials were on during the superbowl each year? It can't be all that great of an event if everyone is looking forward to the commercials so much..

Now you did it. An advertising question.

Ok. Well - the Superbowl is statistically the most watched event on American TV. Meaning, it has the largest number of viewers. Meaning, every single company who advertises wants to run commercials since it'll give them the most exposure. Meaning, the TV network can charge around THREE MILLION DOLLARS for 30 seconds of airtime. That's just the airtime. Not including production, writing, costumes, makeup, actors, and whatever else is needed to make those 30-second movies selling shit. So with that kind of audience, the commercials are traditionally much more elaborate and creative than they are throughout the rest of the year - just to make more of an impact and make themselves more memorable in the viewer's mind.

*takes a breath*

AND, commercials during the pregame and first quarter are more expensive because nobody really ever watches the entire Superbowl (unless they're a heavy-duty football fan). For the most part, everyone ends up really drunk and passing out.

*takes another breath*

SO ... if you want to run commericals during the Superbowl but can't afford $3 million for 30 seconds, buy some time in the 3rd & 4th quarters ... and pray for a tight game so everyone keeps watching.

That about covers it. I hardly ever watch football, except my friends invited me over to their house to watch it and the most exciting part was the commercials. They are pretty damn funny!

This 1 rich comedian put a money counter on his commercial showing the money he was spending as time progressed while he was rambling on about nonsense.

Yeppers makes sense, I know why they have so many commercials .. just seems strange that after America's biggest sporting event more talk is about the commercials than the match itself. Kind of a like a big "come on family, lets sit around and watch the adverts!" type thing.

My favorite part was when half-time was over. I just wasn't impressed with the Rolling Stones performance.

Yea - can we talk about the music for a minute? First of all, there's this editor of this big advertising magazine who ripped apart the Stones for playing halftime. He said, 'Satisfaction is the biggest anti-commericializm song on the planet ... and they're playing the Superbowl?! Next stop, Hollywood Squares!' My thoughts are - I'm just glad they didn't go all-out typical cheesy Superbowl halftime show. It was just the bags-of-bones - er - I mean Rolling Stones - on stage rockin out. I thought that was cool. They didn't wear anything crazy, no huge insane pyros, it was a simple performace. And I don't think THAT has happend at the Superbowl since ... forever.

But did anyone see Stevie Wonder? I'm not a fan of medley's but I teared up quite a few times when he was playing. His talent wears me out. So fucking good.

hey Burd, were you turned on by Jagger flashing his midsection? LOL

anyone remember the Bud Bowl games back in the day during commercials? Some of those superbowls were so pathetic, the Bud Bowl was talked about more.
