Ugh golf! You know what else is really boring on tv? Nascar. Now I do not consider myself a Nascar fan in any way shape or form but I have been to a couple of races. One was because Live was playing there and one was because we got fancy VIP tix that included free food and all you can drink beer. I must say the race is pretty exciting when you are right there to hear it and smell it and see how fast those cars actually go! On tv you can't get any of that affect, its just cars driving around and around and around. Boring!!!!!

i enjoy being at baseball games, watching on tv is difficult but the worst sport to watch in person or on the tele is golf...blah...but give me college football, pro football, hockey and soccer any day, thank you! smile.gif

see one of the many reasons we are a perfect match :-)

baseball was cool backin the day when there were players like ripken and the feeling you got when the os were in the playoffs was/is just how i get when the steelers are in the playoffs.i cried like a baby when they won the super bowl a couple years ago haha

It's not like the NFL has the greatest reputation right now. There are so many thugs in that sport. They really need to clean up.

Here's my opinion on professional sports:
All sports should initiate a common no-tolerance policy. No tolerance for committing crimes of any sort or taking performance enhancing substances. Athletes are supposed to be role models. I don't think Michael Vick or Barry Bonds (just as well-known examples) are good role models. What are these guys being paid for? To go out and play a sport? Give me a break...most of these guys don't deserve the money they make. If they actually acted like regular human beings, they might actually deserve their salaries.

that and about TEN million more!!! kiss.gif

and as far as role models go, i wish our culture would find its collective "heroes" in the those men and women who work for the better good, without having to have their name(s) in lights. those who put their lives on the line daily....members of the armed forces, police officers, fire fighters and the like. btw, in every walk of life, there are going to be a**holes who break the laws and rules.

oh and all that rubbish, is my humble opinion.

I'm a little bias towards Bonds since he plays right next to my home town and I've been watching him since the early 90's. I do think the record is tainted, but honestly so many people take steroids now in baseball. Even the pitcher who Barry Bonds hit 755 off of has been proven to have taken steroids (Talk about irony). Everybody tries to get an advantage in any sport from corked bats in baseball to curved sticks in hockey.

Anyways, I'm probably going to get roasted for defending Bonds, but he is the only entertaining person on the Giants now... who basically are a joke...

One other thing I find funny is that people roast him for being a jackass now, but he is actually a nice, calm person. He was a jackass earlier in his career, but nobody commented on that back then. I see him joke around with all the players on the field each day (that I go to or watch...Giants are a very depressing team to see)
