Summer is here... and I'm so glad Live is touring! Too bad they won't be by themselves.

Anyway, I'm going to the Indianapolis Aug 4th show. Anyone else want to meet up after or before? I live in Indianapolis.

Hi! hi.gif I'm flying up from Orlando (yes, you heard it right!) to the Indy and Fort Wayne shows (I'm originally from FW)! I have friends in Indy who were planning on going too (they're fans of CC) but I'll be flying in in the early PM! We should stay in touch and see what we can work out! My friends already know I'm going to desert them when LIVE goes on in Indy! And I bought my ticket through the CC presale for FW so I have early adm priviledges! rockin.gif

Are we going to be the only Live fans at this concert?

Maybe this will make it easier for me to get some meet and greets... nod.gif I honestly just want to look into Ed's (intense) eyes and thank him for his and his band's music.

I'm thinking of going! It is a 5 1/2 hour drive, but so far that is the closest they will be to me. And I seriously need a +Live+ fix. How is the nightlife near Victory Field? Would love to meet up before and/or after!

It's pretty close to some bars downtown Indianapolis, but it would be quite a walk... However, Indianapolis is the kind of town you can find a place to park if you are willing to pay a little bit. And on the weekends, you might get lucky and get a free spot on the streets. The main stuff is on Meridian Street and Washington Streets. In the um... Rainbow district, shall we call it, there are more fun bars with a more eclectic crowd and it's within reasonable walking distance from Victory Field (I'd still say about a 20-30 min walk). Victory Field isn't in the heart of downtown, but it's close. It's in an ugly industrial section... it will make a nice backdrop for the concert. no.gif

(This is Godiva, I'm not sure if I'm signed in.)

Livegracefully, lynn and I are already planning to meet up. You are free to join us! PM me and I'll give you my e-mail and stuff.

I'll be there.

I live in Louisville, and I'm doing back-to-back Triple Play nights on the 3rd and 4th, in Louisville and Indianapolis respectively.

My best friend lives in Indy, so I don't think I'll be going out after the show, but it's always a possibility since the other couple that I'm going with will probably have a babysitter for the night.

Anyone have any plans to score some meet-n-greets. I've turned my girlfriend on to live this year [since I listen to them and play so much on my acoustic] and she'd probably like to meet them. Of course, I wouldn't mind hanging out with them again either. I owe Ed a drink, if he'll let me buy him one this time.

Purdue Rocks! Sorry, had to get that out of my system ... from one Boilermaker to another! lol.gif Anyways, I'm getting pumped for this show (and just getting away for the w/e). I'm always looking to score passes to hang w/the guys ... I'm trying to work my magic for the Fort Wayne show, since it's a smaller city and my radio friends have better connections. My freedom may be a little restricted at the Indy show since I'll be at the mercy of my friends "Driving Miss Lynn" around town! But let's definitely all keep in touch and make this happen (I'm a planner)! 18 more days and counting!!! rockin.gif

At the Chicago show in March as I met each band member I offered to buy them a drink. The only one that accepted was Adam. Ed told me that he would indulge "next time". If there is a next time, I'm going to make him stick to it.

PM sent with the addy

So, who's ready for Saturday?! I am! I am! I am SOOO excited, I can't hardly think to get my work done (and yes, I'm sidetracking from work to play here! lol.gif ) Only 5 more days to go! Yippee! So what's the plan? Are we going to try and meet up before / during the show? My flight gets in at 2:30 and there's talk of going straight over to the venue. I told my friend last week that I chatted with friends here and meeting up ... he was like "the more, the merrier!" I'm a planner so let me know what the general consensus for the Indy show goers! Then I can try and plan accordingly with my friends who I'm hanging with ... banana.gif

Hey everyone! I'll send out an e-mail to everyone tonight since I have all your e-mail addys. There is a TGIF right next to Victory Field that sounds like a good place to meet beforehand if you ask me. smile.gif

if you want to party....go to ike and jonesy's on jackson street.....the claddaugh is around the corner as well. as far as rainbow district on meridian and washington streets????.....i think you mean talbot street or around massachusetts ave. there are plenty of bar and grills within close walking distance to victory field....as far as ugly industrial section????? the only thing bad is the steam factory behind the right field side of victory field. other than that....downtown skyline is beyond center field and the RCA Dome is beyond right field....white river state park and the Eitelborg museum are behind and to the left of victor field so i'm a little confused...but anyway.........parking....just park at the government parking garage across the street from the field......

I love The Claddaugh and Talbot! But they're about six blocks (or more, I think... I'm not a human map) away from Victory Field, we want somewhere *close* we can walk from beforehand, I think. wink.gif Those of us who want to will hit the bars down the street afterwards.

I still think it's ugly around there. Yeah, you can see the oh-so-impressive Indy skyline from the stands, but those steam stacks right behind the field sure are distracting. I'm just a jaded Hoosier who wants to leave Indiana someday, don't mind me. wink.gif The plus side is that it's all right around the new stadium they are building, which is a sight to see, especially compared to the old RCA Dome.
