weeeeeeeeeee~just got my tickets for the Layne Staley Tribute Fund show with DAUGHTRY at a intimate venue in Seattle, the Fenix!

while i know many here shit on daughtry, i love him and seeing the band for such an amazing cause is going to be so special.

I saw Peeping Tom on Friday night, fucking incredible .. have to be in the top 5 shows i've ever seen, probably just behind the 2 Morrissey gigs and Live in 97. They left Rahzel behind which was annoying to hear at first but this 21yr old chick beatboxer called Lady Butterscotch came with instead and she had about a 5min stretch to herself on stage and it's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen, absolutely unreal, then DJ Quest had his 5mins in the limelight and produced an amazing set which included a number of pieces from Led Zeppelin III. Dub trio had their time in the limelight, Mike Patton was amazing as always.

What I loved about the show was the diversity in the crowd, there were metal heads groovin' to beatboxing and general funkiness, and there were the gangsta homeboys rocking out and head banging to the heavy stuff, really good vibe. Treated to a cover of Marvin Gaye's "Desperate Situation" and also they did Lovages' "Anger Management" and General Patton vs..'s "Get up punk!".

Only 4 more days til Daughtry, POM and nickelback....and yeah, I'll be staying for Nickelback. But I WILL be drunk by then so....

Then the very next day comes LIVE and Collective Soul. I'm looking forward to seeing both bands. CS was great last time I saw them and Live usually put on a good show so.....

Apparently he was saying the letterman studio was pretty cold and singing their actually hurt his voice or something because it gave out 7 songs into the concert he did after that.

Also I dunno why the hell he's doing "That's how people grow up" as the lead new song for his best of album when "All you need is me" is a hundred times better huh.gif

However, the Delores concert tonight was awesome!!! rockin.gif My second time seeing her and I just love that woman! Her voice and performance ~ amazing! yahoo.gif Can't wait for the next time she comes back kicking.gif Hopefully, next time she'll be with her bandmates from the Cranberries.

He said that there will be a fall tour this year which will include the US cities that were cancelled because he really wants to do MSG so it's not over yet!

He mentioned fucking NEW ZEALAND as a possible touring spot, every band that tours there then does Australia so he better fucking do so .. but in typical Mozzer style I can see him saying a NZ tour and meaning just an NZ tour :\



Gonna get tickets to see Grinderman in October, can't wait!
Heard so many good things about their live show, and the fact that Nick Cave himself just on piano is the support act and then the rest of the band join him for the main Grinderman show.
