Read my review in the on the road forum for the Toronto show....no energy at all for ANY of the songs. He stood there and sang song after song without saying anything and went on to the next one. No dancing around, no enthusiasm....nadda. Who knows, maybe the guy was sick? Guess we all feel like not putting it all out there every time we do something.

Sorry to have to agree with you but I'll take it one step further, I thought they were both boring really.

This really surprises me. I saw them last month and they had tons of energy. Sorry you had to pay to see a boring performance.

HOLY CRAP! I'm going to disregard the whole boring/not enthused stuff...not that I don't believe it, just that right now it doesn't effect me.

I'll be at Wilmington, crossing my fingers now for dam at otter creek. Was anyone at the Trump Marina show (02? 04 maybe? I'm thinking it was 04) when Chad played the intro once and Ed said that they would add it back into the set soon? 3 years later, there you go.

Yeah, I can't wait for the Wilmington show especially if they might play DAOC and WDWGFH!!!! I'm not going to worry about them having an off night again like Toronto. I'm really hoping they play The Distance!!!

I don't care about paying for an average performance. They've played enough shows that have blown me away to worry about that nonsense. Everybody has bad nights.

I just like to see them at their best so that everybody else can see what a kick ass band they really are. More than that, I like to see the boys having a good time! They've been on the road for quite a while and I think it's time they take a good long break. Spend time with loved ones and chill out. They deserve it and they deserve to be given a break by everyone when one of their shows is flat.

I'd pay again right now to see the exact same show I just saw. I absolutely LOVE this band and always will. sure their recent work stinks in my book, but that simply just doesn't change a god damned thing.

The fuck? Their touring is sporadic at best.

Being burnt out is fair enough but to say it's a hectic touring scheduel or that they've been on the road for quite awhile is eh .. maybe they're just not used to touring so more than 6 dates in a calander month is killing them. How'd they survive the TC or SS tour..

Probably just an off night for them, it's bound to happen, either you're just not feeling it from the audience of personal drama or not feeling 100% the one thing I always give live is the energy in their shows so I guess Toronto just got unlike ... or they just hate Canadians, either way wink.gif

They've been touring for a long fucking time without a good long break. It may be sporadic in the sense that they may only be playing 7 or 8 dates per month, but they are doing that consistently.

My point was that they need to take a year or so off and not tour anywhere.

I also wouldn't blame them for hating Canadians, I fucking hate them too angry.gif

And common sense should tell you that they survived those tours because they were 13 or so years younger. They all have families now, which probably makes it a bit more difficult psycholgically than it did back then. Touring is great when you're single and about to party your ass off being young. Different when you're married with young children and dreading a few months away from them.

Sorry the show you saw sucked. The Michigan show was very good, except for Collective Soul. You can check out my review.

By the way, Where The Fishes Go was not part of the show!

Holy shit, I've been wanting to see The Dam at Otter Creek in concert since, well, I first heard Throwing Copper.

I hope Live plays some West Coast dates before the song disappears from the setlist again. sad.gif
