I like the last three albums but that's just me.

Oh I do too! I enjoy V a lot and I'm am surprised at how much Birds of Pray grew on me after repeat listenings. I just don't think they're close to the first three albums. I mean, seriously, Ed had to have a spark of the divine working in him when he wrote Throwing Copper.

sorry if i came off like a b*tch, trathena, it was a pre-starbucks moment and i am a bit sensitive to the slamming heather receives here.

and i must admit i have a very big uber love of drummers.........can not live without 'em and the gracey.gif used to live in portland so i am biased as hell.......

back to your regularly scheduled thread........

i would love love love the chance to critique a LiVE setlist.........it has been way tooooooooo long since i saw 'em.

No worries. You didn't come off as a bitch at all, or even a b*tch. ;-)

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. And I meant no harm toward Heather.

You know, I've never seen them in concert. That's right. I've never seen them in concert. I was going to try to see this triple-header concert they're putting on, but they backed out and Three Days Grace or some such band is playing now, so that's that. I doubt I'll ever get to see these guys until they're in their 50s and playing a reunion tour.

Third Eye Blind took Live's place. Their lead singer has one of the worst voices that I've ever heard in concert. I wouldn't even classify it as singing.

Well I thought Pat, Gracey and Adam were all great friggin guys. Genuinely hospitable, nice guys.

No opinion on Ed or Chad T as they never said piss to us. Chad was gracious for a pic but that was about it. But from what I've heard, he's a great guy. Ed, i have no opinion. Heard he's moody, but that's not for me to say.

I'm glad you decided to stick around. We may not always agree but you do liven up the board a bit.

If you are a Live fan, and you haven't seen them in concert, you are missing out on a great experience. I would really recommend making a trip to somewhere when they are playing just to see them even once if you can.

I'm not a fan of the current setlist since it has been running for so long, but regardless, they always put on a great show. I'm very excited to see them again on 7/8/07.

I guess you can say this thread has ran its course, and it's certainly disentegrated with all of the bitching and moaning down the stretch. But come on....'What's Up With The Setlist?!!!'.......shaking it up with such a classic opener like Otter Creek, a cool cover, and one of the better (and unplayed until now) songs off of SFBM is a nice change-up, and the band deserves some credit for taking the initiative to practice and spicing it up. I really thought they'd ride out the summer tour with the same batch of tunes, and then think about changes the next time out. Glad I was wrong. I still can't resist taking a shot at The River, which they should shelve permanently.....and sequencing it shortly after TDAOC doesn't fit either. But it's a minor gripe. Looking forward to the Wilmington show and hopefully another gig somewhere in August within that glut of MD/PA/NJ/NY shows.
