What's Up With The Setlist??? Options

This whole Live vs. CS thing is getting really, really old. The fact is in the 23 times that I have seen CS over the past three years I have seen many changes in their setlist and have been fortunate enough to get see a large variety of different songs. I could care less how long their encore is and I am hardly going to post a setlist for every show that I've seen of theirs just to prove that they did in fact used to vary their setlists quite a bit. Their current show isn't as varied and I'm assuming that is because they are the opening act and they will be changing up their setlist soon anyway with a new cd coming out. I don't think I have been "righteously defending" CS at all, just trying to have people give them a chance because I think they're a good band. I am just as critical of them as I am with Live. Besides, I'm not the one comparing them to Live every five minutes. In fact I have been talking up Live all over the CS board since this tour was announced trying to convince CS fans of what a great live band they are and how they should all give them a chance. I have also tried to be nice and objective and helpful with the info that I have come up with over the past couple of months regarding tour info, etc. I still think it's a shame that people can't just enjoy these shows without ragging on each other's bands. I actually haven't even seen CS in over a year. And anyway Nick, if you want to insult my favorite artist, pick on Ryan Adams, he outranks CS for me these days and I think you'll be hard pressed to find any thing wrong with his setlists considering he plays a completely different one every night.
As for my giving up on Live because I was bored with their show. I really don't see what is wrong with that. Why should I keep shelling out the money to see a band that I have become bored with? Why is it so hard to believe that you can become bored with them to the point of wanting to take a break from their shows? It's not just the setlist either, it's the fact that the last show I saw was just uninspired and lame, in my opinion. I know other people who were even bigger fans than me that quit going to shows long before I did. For some reason after having seen CS only three less times than I have seen Live in half the amount of time I am still not bored with them. If I do become bored with them I'll stop going to see their shows as well. I guess I just don't see the reason to keep seeing a band when I'm just not that into them anymore. I don't quite understand how that makes me pathetic, but whatever.

And Nick, for your information my going to see Live again has little to do with the fact that CS is playing with them. I would have been at that recent Chameleon show in a heartbeat if I wasn't seven months pregnant at the time and unable to stand on my feet for more than a half hour at a time. I'm still really bummed that I missed that show.

Anyway, I'm done. I guess I can't have an opinion on this board without having to defend every other band that I have ever seen live in my entire life. It's pretty frustrating and annoying. I mean lord knows Live is the greatest band ever and they can do absolutely no wrong. All bands should strive to be just like them.

Yeah, I would think that if you're "bored" of them and "just not into them" anymore, that you'd quit wasting your time posting on their fansite. Go elsewhere and complain of how bored you are with their setlist, of how you're tired of shelling out your money to see them. You have no reason to be here really it seems.

I see that probably 18 months ago or so, how you and the other copper whatever you were, would post over at friendsoflive. You and a bunch of other posters would post your little girlish giddy posts about Ed and how much you loved him. How hot you were for the band and you'd go on and on and on with that type of nonsense..

Funny how people tire of things so quickly when they are fanatical huh? A few bad shows and an uninspired setlist and all of a sudden, you're just not into them anymore? If you throw opinions around on a message board, you are bound to get into arguments. You are arguing with gunja on the CS board for the same reason. Little arguments are what make these boards worth reading. If we all thought Live was great and we always got along great, we'd become SOY. I DO NOT WANT THAT!

Don't take it personally, I'm not trying to slam you. But opinions will get challenged on a board.
If you post something negative about Live on a Live fan board, of course you will get challenged. If I went on Bon Jovi's board and said complained about his act, I'm sure I wouldn't get off without a lashing. Its just how it is.

Well, the time period I'm talking about here, is during a long stretch when you seem to have been dissatisfied with Live's music. So don't use that self justifying lame ass argument, then turn around and tell me mine is the last I can come up with. Live have been making subpar music for over seven years now according to you, so I'd bet the farm that your about face is due to something entirely different. In fact, I know it is. But I won't argue with you about that because you aren't, and NEVER will be, woman enough to admit it.

Yeah you haven't called me any names yet but I'm just going by what you have done in the past. I am 100 percent certain that you have called me a cunt in the past and I guess I just expected you to revert to your old ways since it seems to be your arguing style. As far as my reasons for not going to see Live anymore, I think I have covered them all with the exception of the fact that I think the band leaves a lot to be desired in their apprecation of their fans but I won't go into to that since I'm sure I will again get slammed for having the opinion that Ed is a dick. Which I'm sure is an opinion other people share as well. And yes it did take several years for me to admit that I find their newer music to be subpar. I guess I was giving them a chance to redeem themselves while still supporting them by going to shows and buying their cds. How terrible of me.

So yeah at this point I think I'll keep posting here just because I know it annoys you.

I should also add that I never said I was going to leave this board, I have too many freinds here, I did however say that I was going to ignore Nick. Which is what I did for quite some time. At this point though Nick and I actually get along most of time and are quite civil to one another.

Oh sure! Like I said, my only information regarding Gracey was from a few interviews, so I'm perfectly willing to admit I'm full of shit and wrong about him.

I never said Heather doesn't have the "right to her opinion." I wouldn't say that about anybody. I'm merely trying to get information. Why does she think he's a "dick"?

As far as the music goes. This later stuff isn't as good as the first three albums. Not even close.

I like the last three albums but that's just me.

I've met Ed twice. The first time he was a dick, second time he was very nice. I guess it depends on the day. I personally find Pat to be the most sociable and sincere. Chad G is pretty reserved while Chad T. is super-party guy. Adam has always been very nice as well.
