Hey...I'm the festival director from Celebrate Fairfax. I can confirm two of the things you're saying here...

First, our shows do have to be PG because it is not a gated concert area. No cursing, but I don't believe that's not why they didn't do this song or that song.

The show was shortened by about 10 minutes due to the lightning. It was done on the fly, but the lighting was getting too close for comfort. We knew we weren't going to get the rain (from radar), but the lighting was inching closer and closer.

I wish I could take credit for the lighting during Lighting Crashes, but someone with a bit more power probably arranged that. smile.gif

Glad you enjoyed the show; love to hear who else you think we should book in the future. We had Collective Soul and Sugar Ray last year, Everclear a few years back...always interested as we start planning next year.

Ben Harper. He is amazing, and can throw a great show while keeping it PG rated. rockin.gif

Ben Harper would be amazing.

Credit to yourself and Celebrate Fairfax for bringing in better and better bands every year. I've lived in the area for over 15 years and it is really cool to have this in my backyard every year for such a great value.

Ben Harper is a great suggestion. Can you tell us some of the other bands you all have tried to book in the last few years? Emmett Swimming would be cool to see and they're from Fairfax. They aren't touring full time anymore but do put on shows every so often.

The Foo Fighters are also very local. Might be a stretch to get them to do it, maybe Dave Grohl acoustic?
