Download, Mystery Options

Hi, I did a seach and did not find what I am looking for, so hopefully someone here can help me. I finally found software that i can use to edit audio and transfer onto my phone as a ringtone. I was a video tape editor for many years, and I love to edit. ANyway, I want to download/buy MYSTERY with Chris Daughtry. I cannot find it anywhere!! does anyone know where I can get this song?

Now I don't mean to delve too far into the past but did anyone ever find out why this version of the song was never released?

IMHO it sounds great and although I was extremely sceptical about Daughtry I think now that the play between the two of them (Ed & Chris) really adds to the song.

Also for some reason Ed sounds better in this version!?

This one along with the original no strings demo are much more enjoyable to me than the album track.

yep, I totally agree with ya. This version sounds better, also the Ed parts. They recorded it again, and I guess the production and mixing was now without Jim Wirht (or what's the man's name?) and I think Ed did it. The song itself + Ed's voice is better mixed in this version I think and sound a little less popp than the album track (maybe a little hopefull for a coming release, as this is the most recent song they produced after SFBM).

And I don't understand why the second single (Mystery) didn''t get through, although it's played at several radio station sometimes, but only incidentally. But (I thought Nick posted that ? ) that it's because the label dropped them so there was no possibility to make it a second single in the end.

But than again I also wonder: why did Ed even recorded it than again with Daughtry? I should say it was because Live would release the featuring-version of this song as their single (or as the b-side of the normal Mystery song), OR: that Daughtry would use it as an album track. But neither of the things happened...Live only put it online as a download and not very long after that (but after all Live fans already could download it ) they took it offline.
So the song is never used for anything. Kinda odd thing.

Like I said before (and others with me) Mystery (especially together with Daughtry) could have been a huge hit for the band with some promotion, and a lot better than The River. PLUS: Live and Daughtry could profit from each other succes in one single.

Godd...why didn't they do it?
