The new site & board design are here at last! Options

As you can see, the whole site has been redesigned on support of the new album. All of the sections throughout the site now have new locations, so please make sure to update your bookmarks. New features added to the site include: a new guestbook, a new setlist & review submission page, a new contact form, and a new Tabs Section. The message board has also taken on a new look as well. Please let me know if you encounter any broken links or images as you navigate through the new site.

I liked the blue for the message boards better. Is it possible to select that as an alternate theme? I browsed through the settings very quickly but didn't see anything.

I do like the look of the site...though... :-X

Congratulations on the new design. Next time, please try to be original and don't copy-paste stuff from Friends of Live. The header image you use is exactly the same as the one that I made for Friends of Live.

One thing I noticed on the board was that everyone seems to be online, you appear to have swapped up the Online and Offline images

Like I mentioned to you this morning, I wasn't aware that that image was designed by you - I thought it was just portion of an unaltered promo picture - and since it was the only promo picture available at the time I started designing the new site, I used it. I will be making a new banner this week and will take yours down. I'm extremely sorry and hope you can understand.

Thanks! Yeah, I agree that there wasn't many color optons to work with. I was going to do black, but it just seemed too depressing. I know brown isn't the best either, but oh well.

Dan, I really hate criticizing you because you do a wonderful job with this site, but I just went over to the friends of live page for the first time in a while and have to say that the new look of your site looks a lot like that site (the picture at the top, the brownish color, the alignment, etc.). Just thought you might want to take this into consideration.

The only thing that is similiar in my opinion is the header image. I used the same image, as it was the only promo picture of Live available when I began design of the new site (look at my replys a few posts up for more info on that). Anyways, I began the design before the new design on FOL was put up, so it's not like I copied the color schemes or anything (to tell you the truth, I pretty much elaborated on the design I had for the old site). Once the header image is changed on this site, it will make it look alot more unique (although I already think it is).

It's only a simple change going from blue to brown but it's easy on the eyes and does look pretty great. The changes on the front page looks much better as well, it looks quite professional .. it's come a long way from the dark blue with white text when I first joined

Personally, I don't care because I rarely go to that site, but I just thought they might care. But I believe everything you said, and I trust that you did begin the design before they put up theirs. And as I said before, I think you did a great job.
