Every Off-Topic thread, or at least every thread about another band is just pure bashing. Is there anything better to do then bash another group and their music? I hate to break it to you, but with the way Live has been going the recent years it is like the pot calling the kettle black if ya'll know what I mean.

I know I'm bad with band bashing. Its an issue I have. I am honest with my feelings on music though. There are plenty of bands that I like besides Live (Train, Vertical Horizon, Default) but there are many more bands that I just can't stand.

As for the Smashing Pumpkins new song, it does suck, and Avril Lavigne covering Imagine baffles me to no end.
Nickelback/Daughtry tour just disgusts me, and I'll never let up on that.

However you do have a point, and I will "try" to behave more than I have been recently.

That's absolute rubbish. If you care to look at each of those threads, at least one person somewhere along the way defends the artist being bashed. Many of us here have extremely diverse taste in music and as such are not going to agree 100% about every musician out there. If I think a band/song is absolute tripe, I'm not going to censor myself with an IMHO just to spare your feelings.

By the way, you're being hypocritical as you've just made a sideswipe at Live.

I still don't mind Avril though. sure her music stinks are her lyrics are all the same but she's just doing what her label tells her. Sell music that appeals to the masses in order to make a buck. I don't blame her or Daughtry for selling out in order to make it big. I would do the same fucking thing in a millisecond if it meant setting my family up for life.

The thing is, once you have a boatload of money, ya gotta say fuck it and go out there and be creative and do your own thing...kinda like LIVE did with SS.

I know that you've got a diverse taste in music, Senghe, but I really don't think you can say that applies to 'many' of the people here. A lot of people's tastes seem to extend from pop, to rock, to pop-rock.

I think there was a Collective Soul thread up not too long ago. I was a bit of a jerk in it, but a lot of people did love them. If you like an artist, set up a thread about them. If others like the band, it will get responses.

The one thread that I found recently that was a positive one about another band was totally thrashed by some people around here. I think it was a guy named Grandpa Grizz and his thread about Rush. I found the information about Rush fascinating and uplifting but many went out of their way to bring down the poster and it's contents.

people werent really bashing the band they were bashing him. because he comes to a site about the band LIVE saying that some other band is better. of course people are gonna be defensive when some tardnugget comes telling everyone that basically their favorite band suck compared to some other band.

No that is not all this site is about, but we do go through runs where people just start complaining about the boards all of the time. Take this thread for example. I happen to think there's some really good stuff here if you look. Just check out the lovely updates to the MP3 section on your way out!
