i must say i would have agreed with you if i hadn't seen them recently in poughkeepsie.

i saw them once at Holy Cross, what a horrible show

i saw them in poughkeepsie and it was completely different, very good.
if i had only seen live in ft. lauderdale in feb, i'd say that live is pathetic too. but i've seen them in ithaca in 2003 (amongst 4 other times), and i know they could not suck if they tried.

I believe Jenkins is using some sort of voice modulation on stage recently to improve the sound. I saw them at PNC open for the Goo Goo Dolls, it was the the most awful thing I've ever seen on stage. I've seen Live 22 times in concert, even at there worst, they are 100 times better than Third Eye Blind.

They are horrible in concert. Jenkins can't sing at all. Its really pathetic.

Neither can Kyo (the guy in my avatar), but his band still puts on the best show I've ever seen.

To each his own, I guess.

Besides, I said nothing about their abilities on stage. I just said that their first album is excellent.

My fault for misreading. I do like some of their songs as well.

3EB is one of my fav bands. I have all 3 of their CDS. And awaiting the 4th. Still I never seen them in concert. I tried but it sold out before I got tix couple weeks ago
Stephan sounds great on record (and the music is awesome) but yeah, I agree, from the concert mp3s I've heard, his voice is not so good in concert.
