During Long December the dude forgot the words to his own song and they had to restart with the 2nd verse.

All frontmen (and solo artists, for that matter) do this from time to time. No big deal.

I agree I've seen many singers forget a line or two...
It never ceases to amaze me on the animosity between fanbases when 2 or more good bands tour together..Ya know if the bands have a good time together on tour ( Like Adam D . has said many times about the tour they did with Live) why dont the fans? I guess its human nature to want to hear "your" band close or play the longest sets. But with the exception of John Mayer I enjoyed the co-headliners each time CC has played..(Live,,Goo Goo Dolls)..plus I got introduced to new music along with the headliners..Maroon 5 , Augustana, Hoobistank...guess I'm just saying we should all get along...and as for CC fans being disrespctful of other fans well you know what they say "a few bad apples spoil the bunch" It's not the norm...actually the only time I ever got in a confrontation at a concert was at the Live & CC show at the Alladin in Vegas ..my wife and I stood ( along with all the Live fans) for all of Live's set..but when CC came on and I wanted to stand I was hit with half empty beer cups and other stuff by the Live fans behind us, . That goes to show you there are bad behaving fans in every fanbase.
I really hope this tour comes off and everyone has a good time together!! banana.gif yay.gif yay.gif yay.gif

I am with you! I don't understand it either. I think its a bonus to get to see all three of these great bands together and I could care less which one is closing or opening or playing in the middle or how long each plays for. Collective Soul and Live are two of my all time favorite bands and I've been reading both boards and seeing people complain because "their" band isn't headlining or they won't be able to get close to the stage or they'll have to sit through a band that they don't think they will like. I say give all three bands a chance, you might end up actually enjoying it! I wouldn't be a Counting Crows fan if it wasn't for the Live/CC tour. People just need to relax and enjoy it. As for fanbases, that could be said about any band's fanbase. I've been surrounded by some pretty annoying and or rude people at both Live and Collective Soul shows too.

Shame that 3EB isn't playing all the dates instead of CC...I just hope CC does not play the middle IF the tour even comes to ATL. I think I'd rather hang myself than listen to a CC set.

Last I heard, Stephen Jenkins called Live a bunch of pussies back when the bands got in some sort of scuffle, i don't think they'd end up playing together.

I remember that. I thought it would be weird that they would be on the same tour. Thank god it's only three shows hopefully! What a horrible band they are.

Third Eye Blind isn't horrible.

Well, actually their debut album isn't horrible.

Is it true CC will be closing all of these shows? That blows. Personally, I like the band to an extent, but they should at least rotate who closes like they did when they toured together 6 years ago or so. Hopefully they at least have comparable set durations.........I remember both played exactly 1:15 sets last time around. Duritz joined Ed on Dolphin's Cry, and Ed in turn joined them on Hanging Around every nite. Anyway, it was a good tour.

I agree they should alternate closing..I like all the bands so if I was gonna go it wouldnt make a difference to me if they played the same amount of time..In my expereinces with these kinda tours the closing act actually gets short changed on time cause usually there is a curfew and with set changes and encores for the previous bands..well the closing act gets less stage time than the other bands..

i must say i would have agreed with you if i hadn't seen them recently in poughkeepsie.

i saw them once at Holy Cross, what a horrible show

i saw them in poughkeepsie and it was completely different, very good.

if i had only seen live in ft. lauderdale in feb, i'd say that live is pathetic too. but i've seen them in ithaca in 2003 (amongst 4 other times), and i know they could not suck if they tried.
